HELP Please

Hey you guys.... I lost my favorite file on my tool bar. This is the second time it has happened, and my computer friend/geek is no longer available to me. Don't know how I lost them the first time, but this time my COX Cable was down for hours, so I connected thru the fone line on my Earthlink account. Now I have no favorites. Somehow when I dialed up on Earthlink it reset my home page. Changing it doesn't restore my favorites. NOW...as Freak well knows............. I'm very challenged on the computer. I know the basics, but please be kind. I've never had any formal training, and don't really enjoy getting lost in the system.

Any VOLUNTEERS to help me out?

NC isn't know for his computer genius either but maybe you can try a system restore??

Click Start, then control panel, then performance and maintenance...system restore should be toward the top left. Click it...it will allow you to reset your computer to a time when it was running fine.

My computer only goes as far as Performance in this list of things.

By "username" I mean YOUR name.

Open the favorites folder you just found, on the file menu at the top, select "edit", then "select all", then click edit again and click "Copy"
Go to your favorites folder on your bar and see if it allows you to "paste"
the favorites there. If not, we will try something else.
