that didn't work. It just shows a new favoites list from when I did the fone log in the other night.

What else? There must be a way to apply them.....

Do a search for Favorites folders and find the one that's empty. Copy and paste your favorites to THAT folder.

I think that that is the problem. At least that is what the person at the Cox help desk said. He couldn't help, imagine that! Told me to call MicroSoft. OH YEAH!

I'm Ellen1 on some things, and I think I am logged on as Ellen on Cox.

BUT.... I'm not sure how to log on or off. I just reconnected the cable when the service to my area was repaired and unplugged the fone line. I really just clicked the start button and it was automatic, so I guess Earthlink logged in over my Cox. and then Cox didn't login over the Earthlink. Does that make sense?

Click the START button and choose LOG OFF then choose SWITCH USER and choose "Ellen". Hopefully, you are just logged on as a different user and all of your stuff will be there when you switch back.

You could always go with the low tech solution - visit your favorite websites and reload them into your Favorites. How long could it possibly take?

Actually, I have about 200 in my work folder for links pertaining to my job! I surf the net for my clients and stuff.

I'm gonna have to find my friend's son.

Hey BV, I have a student who has one degree already in Computer Science and is getting another in Management...he is the smartest I have ever come upon when it comes to this kind of stuff.

I will ask him tomorrow about this and let you know if he has a suggestion.
