Henderson Dismissed?

Mitchell is going to be a 5th year senior (meaning he has already been in the program for 4 years) and in all that time has not once been connected with trouble. This also means he is most likely over the age of 21, meaning drinking a beer is not against the law. I am not saying he did not make some inappropriate decisions, he did. But there is no way you should "make an example" out of kid like him that has already done so much for the team for the last four years and is just now ready to contribute as a starter. He will have conditions he will have to meet (sprints, community service, etc.) and I will almost gurantee you the possibilty of losing his spot on the team for this will be enough to keep him on the straight and narrow. He will fulfill his punishment and stay out of the news for the wrong reasons.

P.S. I definately think Fulmer was way too lax last season with discipline so do not misinterperet this post. But, this individual case is being dealt with properly. Henderson was somebody who HAD been in trouble before and that was part of what led to his dismissal.

well said...and from what i have read on various websites, the only thing that i have found, much to my suprise btw, that was negative was Bruce Feldman's blog on ESPN.com about the incidents. Ivan Maesel actually had a positive outlook on the incidents and punishments doled out....
