Well gee!! That just breaks my heart--Mr. Hendricks!!

I would have vomited if Jr. chose his team.

The way it will be:

I wonder what is better; a victory party hosted by the Oreo and Ritz cracker people or one that would be hosted by Budweiser?

I think Jr would be smart to start his on Cup Team

No way......Too much responsibility and not enough time....He needs to go to RCR, use their resources and win some championships...hes already said he doesnt want JR motorsports gettin much bigger

At this stage in his career, with time running out, it would not be smart to start his own cup team. Just take a look at Michael Waltrip Racing and Robby Gordon, they aren't running well and at this day and age in Nascar it's important you have a well financed team in order to compete at the highest level. But saying that, if there will ever be someone who can have immediate success Junior is the man. He would have sponsorship and fan support to do it, but Junior realizes his time for a championship is quickly passing by and he doesn't want to be with a team that's bulding or rebuilding he wants to go to an immediate successful team.

Jr. would also have something that Waltrip (not that it would really help him) and Gordon, Robby will never have; Hendrick equipment. While Rick pretty much shot down the notion of Jr. driving one of his four cars, he did say that he would supply Jr. with chassis and engines.

I really don't think it is that bad of an idea. He wouldn't have to run the day-to-day business of the team. He could hire someone like Sr. did with Ty Norris to run things. All he would have to do his write the checks, which was a major gripe of his with stepMother Teresa.

The best bet for Junior would be to go to RCR. They may not have the 2 most dominate drivers like Hendrick, but if the regular season ended today, all 3 drives would comfortably make the chase.

It's looking more and more like Jr. is either going to RCR or gonna run his own show. Joe Gibbs said Saturday that as much as he would love to have Jr. on his team, he can't see a scenario having Budweiser as a sponsor for one of his teams. Gibbs has long been public about his faith and will never have an alcoholic beverage as a sponsor. Most think Budweiser will be wherever Jr. is so, the Jr. to Gibbs sceneario is very unlikely. Childress is still a possibility and I can easily see that happening. Ginn Racing is still a possibility, but if Jr. can have Hendrick engines (as Ginn does), then I think he'd rather run his own team than drive for Ginn.

I guess with Kyle Petty's 3rd place finish in the Coca Cola 600, Petty Enterprises no longer feels the need to look for a proven driver without a home like Jr.

Dale Jr. was overheard saying that he wanted to drive for Michael Waltrip Racing so he could have Sunday's off.

Jeff Hammond said in the pre-race at Dover that his "sources" say Jr. will sign with Gibbs with sponsorship from VISA, announcement coming in next 2 weeks. I wouldn't trust Hammond's sources but, obviously a rumor worth noting.

The credibility Hammond has is about the same as believing something that DW says during a race broadcast.

That will be perfect. Now that he has his fans drinking Bud, he can move on and work on getting them into debt up to their eyeballs.
