Hendrix, Heaps, or Scroggins? Who ya got?

There appears to be plenty of supporters for each of them with Heaps and Hendrix standing out a bit I believe, but for the sake of the cause, I'm curious to see how it is viewed VolNation wide...

I think all three have potential and we could end up with two of them, but is Kiffin thinking ahead to 2011 and maybe he just takes one?

I think now that we have (potentially) landed Marve, that He will be focusing in on Scroggins. He has much more upside and can be groomed while Marve plays a couple years under center! Then Scroggins and the 2011 QB commit will battle it out to start in 2012 to defend our SEC Championship that we won in 2011!!!

That and the people that try to talk down about the guy they don't want in the process, only to flip flop when they end up with that guy.


EricVol, I'm not really interested in Marve other than him being another body. He was highly rated coming out and showed flashes at Miami, but I'd rather start fresh and not run a risk of losing someone else on account of him. With that being said, hopefully he can come in and play well if/when given the chance, but I'd rather not have to deal with another coach's work. Miami hasn't really produced much from the QB position sooo...

I wanted Heaps the most because he is the most polished of the three, but now that it sounds like Marve is a Vol, I'm changing my mind to Scroggins because he may have the highest ceiling.

Did I miss something. Has Marve committed to us. I am not sure he is such a good fit. He had a number of issues in Miami and was not able to hold on to the starting positions. Why are we going after a quarterback which could not make it at the University of Miami. He may be great it just make me wonder why a team would turn a quality player away unless there is some major issues. Just keep in mind the 11 players we have recently released. I know the coaches know a lot more about the circumstances surrounding Marve than we do. I know he was a top rated quarterback out of high school but so was Crompton. It just seems a little questionable to me.

Back to the title. Hendrix looks good on his tape but numbers are low. Heaps could probably put together an hour long tape without a bad pass. I have yet to see Heaps underthrow anything. Everything looks perfect.

He is bigger, so I would presume he has more arm strength. But I based my assessment on watching their respective clips...where it appears that Scroggins is the more fluid of the two.
