Our role as a total underdog in this game is the kind of thing I can see CBJ using as a highly engaging motivational tool this week in practice.

IMO, if he has our players feeling loose and playing with nothing to lose, then we show up and impress the nation with our continued climb back to relavence.

My worry is what happens late in the game. Although we do have more depth at most positions, that depth is very young and inexperienced. If our defense is on the field for long durations in the third quarter, it ls gonna get ugly.

However, if this dink and dunk style gets us 4-8 yards per play...it could eat clock and progressively build our confidence.

Our presence in the red zone is going to be key....we MUST score TD's...not FG's.

What a great Win for the Vols to get the two most recognized college football analysts to call our game! Do they know something???? And if ESPN is to ever like us again, it begins with these two. And better yet, NO Muffburger!

Go Vols and am confident that y'all will impress the star studded media!

Gary and Verne know all about Riley Dobbs and Josh Ferguson. Leave them alone.

I'm still reeling from Verne calling him James WilHITE for 4 years! The man is an idiot...although probably not as stoopid as those 2 yahoos from last Sat who didn't even know Smokey's name! The SEC Network has done a HORRIBLE job with their hiring. I'm thinking Mike Hamilton is head of HR!!

A push with the number of times Heather Harrington refers to our current HFC as Coach Dooley.

I heard that one the other day on her practice report!! Geeeeez! I quit listening to her show 2 yrs ago! The Swain Event on 1180 in the morning is SO much better!

I don't care who calls the game, it is not going to change the outcome of the game.

PC Police will have a field day with this one. The Sooners take the land from the injuns in Indian Nation. And the Volunteers go to the Alamo and just about any other conflict looking for a fight. This could take some heat off the Redskins for a week or so.

Kirk Herbstreit = All-time #1 OSU homer/wife cheater

CF + KH = typical ESPN talking heads

I actually like those guys mostly. Sorry. :ermm:

Verne, Musberger, and Keith Jackson are my all time favorites.

Bleacher Report's favorites as well.

Its a perfect juxtaposition of historic mascots. The Volunteers like Houston and Crockett burned their political careers over the displacement of the Cherokee and Creek. The Sooners displaced their descendants in Oklahoma 50 years later.
