I love going to games where I have no rooting interest. It's fun being the most laid back guy in the stadium watching everybody around you on the verge of an anxiety attack.

I am excited about not having to brace my binoculars since I won't be nervous.

And this time, I won't mind if Dusty punts the opposition inside the 2 yard line 5 times in a game.

Sounds to me like he is just a true football fan, like many of us here like to think we are. If we were playing some joke team and I had an opportunity to go to a big game like, say, Auburn-Alabama... I'd go there in a heartbeat.
