i had to put at least on character in the message box. but that's more than what he's said, i guess he'll wait until clinton gets over there and she'll try to make them give up more land. if i was israel and i had that socialist coming in, i would do all i could before he becomes the official marxist-in-cheif.

You have to admit it is smart for Obama to give no comment. It will be interesting to see what road he takes in dealing with this situation.

Actually, I thought that he had at least commented on the early situation...didn't he say something along the lines "if you're throwing rockets at my house, endangering my family, yes I would respond"...

...wasn't that posted in one of these threads? Still - you're point is valid...very quiet....which is probably the right thing as long as he is staying very informed of the situation and is trying to make sure he is ready to deal with it....(if anyone ever really is...)

the bottom line is that the "no comment" is a very loud approval of the Israeli use of force.

I will give O credit for this...he doesn't want to take away from anything GW has on the table with this situation. You can grandstand all you want on other issues but he seems to realize how volatile this is.

I think he realizes if he steps in this at the wrong time it could set a terrible tone for the first year of his presidency.

I wonder if Obama fails if everyone just ends up blaming Bush and the "neocons" for all of the United States as well as the worlds problems?

Some urge that the Israelis did this now because they figured that GWB would be less apt to criticize them than BO. If so, then BO is doing exactly what they would have hoped, which is keeping his nose out of it until he is sworn in.

Hard to see Republican, neocon, or Bush supporters in general criticizing BO for his declining to get involved in this. In fact, I seem to recall some on this board complaining a few weeks ago when they thought BO was jumping in on some controversies too early.

Besides being clueless, why do you continue to use Obama's middle name when speaking of him? If you consider yourself a patriot in any form or fashion, then this totally contradicts your so-called right wing beliefs. Of course, it is your right as an American to have feelings of hate and jealousy towards someone for no particular reason.

i don't see why that's a big deal, it's funny how people can call bush Hitler and every name under the sun but when someone points says his middle name, all the socialist/libs come out crying.

I am a moderate democrat and disagree with the far left crowd on most issues. I am not mad anyone nor do I have hate and jealousy for anyone. You are the one using his middle name like some third grader at recess.

Everything from his cabinet appointments to his organization of the ecomonic team shows he is going to govern more from the center, but don't let the facts get in YOUR way of being a hateful, disgruntled American hell bent on trying to prove your reactionary viewpoints with nothing but innuendo and BS rheotric.

I would say Paul Volcker is a economic heavyweight. You might want to research the economic team members a little better. And BTW, owning your own business doesn't qualify you to be making national and global economic policy decisions.
