Here it comes....

I wouldn't guarantee that. There are 4 at large bids. The loser of OSU/UM will get 1. Down to 3. ND or USC will likely get one depending on what happens in the ND/USC game and the Cal/USC game. Down to 2. If Clemson keeps it up and BC wins out, don't be surprised to see the Tigers jump us. Down to 1. Here it comes....Boise State. By then, they will have likely jumped into the top 12 and got the final spot automatically. We would have be going to the Capital One bowl behind Boise State and Clemson. You wouldn't have a beef with that?

Am I missing something? How do these Texas clowns get such love? They missed getting their second loss thanks to a miracle fumble on par with our '98 Arky game...someone clue me in.

So TRUT, if we win out and don't get a BCS bowl bid, you won't have a beef?

I think there is a 15 percent chance that we would get left out.

One loss teams that are around us include Texas ND Auburn Florida Cal and Clemson. Texas is likely to win out.

ND and Cal I think will lose to the Trojans, or at least one of them. I think both of those teams will lose one. Clemson I can see slipping up somewhere. If Florida and Auburn win out, they will likely play for the SEC championship, becasue IF we win out, that would mean we beat Arkansas, and I have LSU over Arkansas. But that is a big if, as winning our next three games is definately possible, but will be extremely difficult.

You have a whole lot of 'ifs' in there. The BCS ranking is not concerned with speculation. It is a ranking system for, "if the season ended today," therefore to look at them objectively, you must assume that there are no more upsets. Anyway, looking further at the BCS, we could be ranked 7th in the BCS right now, and we would be left out of a BCS bowl game (as any conference can only send 2 representatives, at most, to BCS bowl games.) Therefore, I have no beef. So, assuming no upsets other than Arkansas losing to LSU, Florida loses in the SECCG, Michigan loses, Cal loses, ND loses, and Louisville loses, we are in a BCS game.

ND will still go to a BCS bowl with two losses.

Actually I think there is some crazy loophole rule that puts ND in a BCS game automatically if they have 2 losses or fewer.
No. If ND is in the top 12 in the BCS they get an automatic bid. If they lose to USC, I doubt they stay in the top 12.

If anyone could do it, it's the Irish.

Actually, after doing a little research, I think this is the official rule:

ND need to be in the top 12 and also have 9 (or maybe 10) wins. I've read different things about the number of wins required. I'm assuming it is ten this year since there are more games on the schedule. If a 2-loss ND team goes to a BCS bowl ahead of a 1-loss UT team, something drastic needs to happen. I'm talking UT flying to ND's bowl and attempting to take the field anyway. Or maybe some UT booster with megabucks could purchase all the ND seats and then just let them sit empty during the game. I don't know, but I'll definitely be cheering harder than I've ever cheered for whoever the Irish's opponent may be. Hopefully, none of this will happen.

According to the BCS policies and procedures on Foxsports.com for automatic qualification...

4.Notre Dame will have an automatic berth if it is in the top eight of the final BCS Standings.

First i wanna brag(maybe its early yet) that i picked Michigan to win it all. I am looking good on that one. I went out on a limb and it payed off.

Second, can we get a link to what we are rated in all the computer polls that go into the BCS?

I'll admit I was tempted to call you out when you posted that. I just couldn't see how they would be any better than they were last year. Oh well, I get tired of being right all the time, anyway.
