That correlation ended in about 1990.Yea, I guess it's another good lesson that one should always verify what they read.
I throw a lot of numbers out there that are just opinion based estimates, oftentimes exaggerated for effect.
But again, lets not lose sight of my original point, there is a strong correlation between education and intelligence.
The point simply being that all colleges, college degrees, and college students are not equal.
I've long believed far to many students are going to college.
Stop paying BOE heads hundreds of thousands of $$ a year. They aren't worth it. Get rid of the "teacher advisory councils" and let teachers do what they are trained. Start failing kids and open up more Vo-Tech facilities. If you just refuse to learn, labor camps for minimum wage and room and board are an idea. There are a lot of place that extra $$ could go other than to the "system". I would start with caning and then back off to paddles in a couple of years. When a kid can tell the teacher to **** off in class and the teacher gets asked "what did you do", there is a bigger issuer than more $$. Wake the **** up.Why? Do you not believe public education is one of the most important things in this Country and is currently not doing a great job?
I think we should position ourselves a little closer to the rest of the world's leading countries with educational expenditures per capita compared to health expenditures per capita, defense expenditures per capita, and police/prison expenditures per capita. No, I sympathize as I have two teachers in my immediate family. More money to the system is wrong.
I agree with all this. I just think teachers should be paid more (which means a higher quality teacher) and not have to buy school supplies out of their pocket.Stop paying BOE heads hundreds of thousands of $$ a year. Maybe we need to create a system that works instead of coddling future socialist takers. This what we are turning out in the tens of thousands every year.I think we should position ourselves a little closer to the rest of the world's leading countries with educational expenditures per capita compared to health expenditures per capita, defense expenditures per capita, and police/prison expenditures per capita.
Based on those 4, we grossly under spend on education comparatively.
Or maybe we grossly over spend on the other three.
