Sorry, but I want be using any of this crap to watch TN football. I will wait to see the replay of the game on CBJ Football Show on Sunday morning. Last year someone said to use this site & how great it was. I thought I had walked into a nightmare & could not get out due to all the BS on my computer that was downloaded. For those that like it & know what you're doing.....that's fine but I've had nothing but a big headache with these types of websites. Just my little :twocents: worth about this topic.
Really? The gentleman was trying to help out those that can't afford PPV and he served our country as a veteran I feel this was disrespectful buddy because I used this exact site myself and it is the best!
Thank you Sir for the thread and serving our Country!
Will this site work on my MAC and IPAD?? How about my BlackBerry??? I'm just stoked that Uverse is now carrying ESPN3 for mobile access.

I have a Mac and it works on it. As for all the people who don't agree with the site....it has been a huge blessing to me and my fellow patrons with no problems. I have never heard of anyone getting virus and all the other BS from my particular site I've been using. You just have to be smarter then the popups and its well worth it...and that's just my 2 cents. I respect everyone's opinion tho. Go vols!
No need to call other people's post about viruses BS. I have friends who get viruses it seems, all the time. One of them, I agreed to look over her system. She had one of those free anti virus programs instead of a full blown internet security program. Another had a fine internet security program but needed a few settings adjusted to shut the door on certain types of intrusions. So while you seem fine and virus immune, not everyone has the same resources or software knowledge.
The BS you refer when it comes to viruses belongs to people who create and invent ways to distribute malicious code not the victims who must endure it. Even those of us who know how to block most of the stuff periodically fall victim, often time without even knowing it and despite our protections. You're constantly under attack. Just look at the intrusion attempts reported by your internet security on a monthly basis.
No denying the website is a blessing for you. No one attacked that. I for one gave helpful advice regarding why I, ME, MYSELF do not hang around websites that ask me to download or install something to see what's on that site. ONE person here apparently went to the site and promptly got a virus. ANOTHER person advised to never, ever, ever, ever download anything from such sites. So? It shows that some of our Vols fans need the type of advice given here about avoiding such traps. Told to learn to navigate the popups wasn't enough for them.
Despite having some genuine and very rough disagreements with some posters here, I care enough about my fellow Vols fans to give the advice I gave. Advice, not BS and the experience of a few has proven it was needed. So kindly remember what is true for you in not necessary true for everyone else. I once stepped on a rattlesnake. It didn't bite me for some reason, just slinked away. A scientist or pastor might be able to tell me any number of reason why I wasn't bitten. But I'd never, ever, ever, ever advise anyone to step on a rattler next time they see one. So while I got away with that incident, it doesn't mean the next person who encounters that snake will also get away with it.
BTW, just for the heck of it, I went to the site and navigated the popups, downloading nothing. You're right, it works. But the first person who tried this was probably inexperienced about avoiding the request to download the app. Ignoring that, one can indeed see games as you said. But your first post didn't explicitly state to not download the "required" app. The virus victim was innocent. eace:
Dude what the heck are you talking about? I was neither agreeing or disagreeing with wether they were getting viruses. And to think it doesnt happen would be retarted. I never stated that. I was saying from my personal experience with the site I dont get them. And as far as the "BS" that is a general term when grouping things together such as spam, etc. Seems you took my comment to heart for some reason and to be honest I paid no attention to you previous post to begin with. You dont have to explain yourself in a biography....I was making a general statement about my experience.
And you make it seem as if I was bashing people who dont know how to navigate the site. That was also neither the case. No need to get your panties all in a wad. By the way dont know if you made it that far but I said I respected everyones opinion as far as wanting to use the site or if they have issues with these particular sites. Its not rocket science on navigating them.
You don't have to download anything, those are just ads. Like the op said, don't click anything until the small gray or red X appears, and you'll have no issuesVery often, such sites insist you must download and/or install an app to access games. I shun any such site that requires me to install something to access what supposed to immediately viewable on the site. I do that for the very reason Volador states above. you end up either getting a virus or (probably same thing) an app or software that REFUSES to leave n matter how often you delete it or even tell windows to set a restore point. Last year for one site I was advised, I was forced to restore but before rebooting, dig into the registry and hunt down stuff associated with that app. It was stunning how many places it hid itself in, including folders of legitimate software. This allowed it to reinstall itself anytime you booted your computer. This is very much the way some sneakware works. Example, you GOOGLE something innocent like maybe Sixteen Candles, which is a movie. But somehow, somehow, somehow a web page that's belongs to a porn site pops up. Annoyed you click the "X" corner to get ri dof it. It may vanish or it may load 5-10 additional pages. You finally get rid of them. But sneakware that auto-directs you to such pages when you Google using certain words or even suddenly load without any prompting. Or, as what happens more often now your Internet Security repeatedly reports an attack or other security breaching attempt from these sites. So I steer clear form any site that asks me to download or install anything to view something.
Now, we're told by an experienced person to navigate the popups without downloading or installing anything. That can work but watch, watch, watch everything from your task bar to indicators that show computer activity when a pages is presumably loaded so activity should be stopped. Also minimize your browser because some sites load and hide behind the main browser page. You don't see them until you try to close the browser of minimize the page you're actually viewing. Sorry for being long-winded but I wouldn't want any Vols fan to get trapped into such stuff.
I was deployed for the past 2 years during football season. I was able to catch every single game on www. vipbox.tv this is the greatest website known to man in my opinion. There is no gimmick you just have to know how to navigate the pop ups. They will happen but if you wait about 10 seconds a very small grey or red "x" will appear. You click off two or three of them and there will not be anymore unless you have to refresh the page.
Mods feel free to merge but I felt like it was important enough because some people don't have cable/deployed/or money for PPV to get some of our games. This website also goes for every other sport too FYI.
Go vols
This is a very good thread topic. Because when we don't play on TV it kills me thinking what is going on in the game. I'm usually only able to watch the play by play on damn slow ESPN (GOD FORBID). We know how much they hate us. That must be why it is so damn slow for me. Thanks for letting me know about this site.
