I saw improvement today. Had Worley started the game, we may have won. Peterman tanked the offense in the first half. Even one offensive touchdown in the first half may have made a huge difference in the game. The coachng is really good. Our defense is good. When the recruiting catches up (read: next year), we're gonna be a force to be reckoned with. All those that are coming out and saying "I'm done" or claiming a 5-7 season are forgetting that even in a 6-6 or 7-5 season, these last two games were losses. If you're done, then go, and shut the hell up. We are Tennessee, and eventually, we will be the Tennessee we know we can be. GBO

I agree. We're only going to improve as the season progresses and Florida's defense might be the best we see all year notwithstanding their shaky offense. We just simply couldn't get anything going on offense for a long time and that was the problem. Our defense is solid, but they were out there for long stretches at at time.

Improvement doesn't win games. And how long can you hold onto "seeing improvement?"

It's the same old song and dance.

at the end of the day, after all the ineptitude, once florida decided to go wide on the tennessee defense, that was the end of the game.

it's the way it has been for a few years now. tennessee's defense gets beat on the perimeter.

We will improve. Sad that most of the fans don't put into the same work and dedication that the players do. Most wouldn't have the stomach for it.

Exactly which coach and which defense when you say "years?" Multiple coaches, depleted roster, poor recruiting - the outcome isn't that hard to call.

Takes some time for a coaching change to translate into wins. I know it's rough, but being patient and not overreacting is what we should do. Many of us were marking this game as a loss before the season started and 7 wins is still within reach. That's improvement. That's a bowl game. That's enough to show that Tennessee's started climbing out of the basement. A couple of good recruiting classes and we're back.

There is no way this team wins 7 games with the in game decisions that were made today. The in game decision making needs to dramatically improve to have a shot at finishing 500.

I thought the defense played very well. we gave up one busted play, Kinda hard to ask much more from them when the time of possession was so lopsided.

You thought the coaching was good? What game where you watching?

Yes, the coaching was good. That talent is not, and that's the problem. The only coaching mistake that I saw was Peterman getting the start. If he did in fact practice better than Worley, then I do not fault the coaching staff at all. Adjustments were made when they need to be made, and we held our own, it just wasn't enough. I'll tell you what, we'll bring Dooley back so we can watch ourselves lose by 50 in this game.

When you cant run sidline to sideline and get off a block its the way to go.

That UF team is a 7- 5 squad unless that qb really progesses quick. The D is solid but you can find spots.

average talent in certain spots and injuries are killing them.

I see a team that is inexperienced in running the read option. Most of these players were recruited to play in a pro set. You would think that after the Ducks & UF games that Coach Jones needs to make some adjustments to the O. First half offense has been nonexistant in both games.

That falls on Peterman being a waste of a uniform today. As for last week, Oregon is gonna win the NC, mark my words.

I see a team with no identity on offense. I thought the D played all right for the most part, considering they were on the field for 40 minutes and the O turned it over 6 times.

66 yards rushing on 23 attempts, for a 2.9 yard avg. ain't gonna get it done, not with these QB's.

It's the same old song and dance.

Until we get the players we need. This team, as far as I can tell, has forgotten how to win. And don't hand me any crap about beating Austin Peay or Western Kentucky. Beating cupcakes is garbage wins and prove very little.

If Jones made a mistake this week, it was bowing to fan pressure to replace Worley. If Peterman was the next best option, Ferguson and Dobbs must be, at the present, really bad, or having problems learning and running the system.

Though I agree there is some overall weekly improvement, this team continues to find a way to shoot themselves in the foot. Florida played terribly, but Tennessee's mistakes prevented them from receiving a gift. Right now, in my not so humble opinion, Quarterback development or rehabilitation needs to be the highest priority. If Tennessee had a decent one today, we would be celebrating a victory right now.

I don't know, this is the first time I can remember seeing a 2nd half better than a 1st half in a meaningful game. Let you know when I get tired of improvement.

^This, and it is going to be a sad day in Tuscaloosa when Bama has to give back 2 of their championships because of Fluker.

Wrong, we got beat up the middle last year too.
