Of course I give the OP zero credence but for everyone suggesting a rental car would be reserved in a fictitious name: Rental car companies are pretty strict on the reservation matching the name and driver's license number of the person who picks up the car.

And as numerous others have pointed out, if he were coming to Knoxville (which seems unlikely- as others have pointed our people would be likely to visit him, if for no other reason than to minimize attention) a driver would meet him. In the unlikely event he wanted a rental car for some reason, some associate with a less high-profile name would have made the reservation.

The OP was funny (probably on purpose) so now I feel silly for spending this much time to discuss it.

Well for those of you that do not understand how a coaching search is performed let me clue you in on a secret about it...When the AD and the coach meet it is usually NOT in the town the school is in or the town where the coach lives...This is to maintain privacy for all parties...Mike Hamilton was meeting Kiffin in Dallas Texas to interview him and in Charlotte to interview Brian Kelly....So don't believe all these reports of Gruden renting a car crap..He wouldn't rent it anyways his agent or someone else would get it in their name so he would not be followed.

I think you are right. Gruden must have landed at Tri Cities Regional airport because I am fairly certain I saw them at Chucky's Outpost near Erwin tonight!

chuckys outpost is closed. Erwin people had to sale it to get enough money to have an agency find them a contract with a new hospital
