If there's ever a reason to trash a field, albeit one's own field, target opposing fans and players with beer bottles, then please inform me on that reasoning.

I've yet to meet one Braves fan that even brings up the fact that the Atlanta HR in the second inning should have never happened because he should have been struck out. I forget the batter's name.
Beef? Is that you?

I think the correct term is self-righteous

That too...along with rabid and devoted...the key is the volume of their fan base...I've always held that the Braves and even the Tampa Rays have fans every bit as maniacal...just nowhere near AS MANY:thumbsup:

That was the worst call in my memory of post season baseball!

1985 game 6 of the world series was the worst call of all time. What happened in Atlanta was busch league in comparison. But I guess if you dont have the tradition you dont have a good sense of real heartbreak.

I'm not going to trade jabs about baseball on a Vols message board, but honest to God, anybody that thinks Cardinals fans are self righteous, you really are tying hard to reach for an insult. The Cardinals fans I have known my whole life are fantastic midwestern folks. They love baseball more than any other part of the country. They dont have many bandwagon fans and they applaud good effort, even if its the other team. I have been to 16 major league parks from coast to coast. I can say there are Cardinals hats in every one of them. Sorry, but you just cant compare them to Boston or New York fans. It just doesnt work.

Tradition? 13 division titles, 17 NL pennants and 3 World Series. That's not tradition?

My fan card is staying right where it belongs. Just because I have a dog who is descended from an UGA doesn't mean that I have to pull for Georgia. Actually he's a lovable idiot named Meatball and he sleeps in an orange doghouse.

Anyway, why are we talking about baseball in this thread. Baseball is so boring I would rather watch paint dry than to waste my time watching it. Basketball is almost as bad as it is.

My 2nd favorite sport is MMA.
