Someone hasn't been paying attention. Pearl has already been punished by both UT and Mike Slime. The team's response - it just keeps on winning!

I am not condoning CBP's actions however, I am not foolish enough to assume that his behavior has not permeated big time college basketball. Just look at the foolishness of the infamous coach cal, his dishonest legacy has been applauded and dismissed by even some at ESPN as creative recruiting. Let everyone who wishes to point their "holy" finger at CBP take a long hard look at their own sinful compromises. They will, I'm sure, discover that their poo also stinks.

Yeah it should. Calapari was trying to get a player to Kentucky that got paid last year in Turkey. Kantner. At least the NCAA said no. Will they do anything to Cal? No

Get this through your damn mind you sorry troll. I'm not one to defend Calipari, but he did nothing wrong. He didn't know that Kanter was getting paid like a pro. And when the NCAA was investigating his eligibility, Kentucky complied with the NCAA thoroughly. What did he do wrong? Nothing. Stop being an idiot.

Don't kid yourself. Every coach recruiting Kanter knew he got paid. Cal is just the only one to take a risk and hope he got eligible. Nothing wrong with it, but that is the truth.

for you to think Cal had no knowledge of this is ignorant. He knew, but i agree he did nothing wrong by trying to get him in.

Like Jerry Tarkanian said years ago that the NCAA got so
mad at Kentucky that they gave Creighton two more years of probation.:eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol:

This win was big for Pearl. He is a heck of a coach.

I think the NCAA will not hammer us nearly as bad as some fans seem to want.

It seems like some of the "fans" on here want us to get the NCAA death penalty. Where are all the posters who
were crying " we could have had Jay Wright"? As much as
some of these posters will hate it, Pearl will get us to
several NCAA championships. GBO:pepper::pepper::pepper:

If you truly believe this then I wonder if you would be
interested in some ocean front property I have in Sequatchie Valley. (I could let it go cheap)

We all know Pearl lied and he should in some way be punished. I too believe the NCAA will have something to say. Lets hope it's not too severe. No one coach is bigger than the program. We all can agree on that but as far as finding another one as good as Pearl any time soon would be a challenge. You can name all the ones you think might be as good but would they take the job? Right now IMO, I think Bruce Pearl is one of the best coaches in the business. Feel free to disagree.

albert... that you?

I don't know why I put he didn't know he got paid. Now, I don't know if he knew how much. That's up for debate, but the point is, you're right, Cal did nothing wrong and everybody would have done the same thing.

Calipari and UK knew exactly how much he had been paid when this whole thing began, it has never been in question. The debate concerns the amount of money he received over the specified limit, and what the money was used for. Anyone too thick to understand this concept has no hope to begin with.
