O and that 2 seeded UT team also beat the 3 seeded UF team that is taking it to the 1 seeded Nova team twice.
And Wake Forest beat George Mason. So what.

A 2 seeded UT team got beat by a 7 seeded Wichita State team. What seed did Pitt have and what seed did they get beat by? How many Big East teams got beat in the first round? Now how many SEC teams got beat in the first round?
How many Big East teams made it to the second weekend of the tournament? How many SEC?

Nope, but a National Championship strengthens the argument that the SEC was underrated.
How does LSU or Florida winning a title make Ole Miss and Auburn any less pathetic?

Wow, lets use an NIT team as a point.

Beating a team once is easy, not as easy beating a team twice.
OK then, Hofsta beat George Mason twice in a week. So what.

How many SEC teams are in the Final 4? How many from the Big East?
So the Pac 10 and CAA are two of the best leagues in the country?

Well, they would be bottom feeders in a conference that had a team win the National Title, that would be a reason.

I still don't know what you're arguing about. I'm not saying the SEC is better, just not as bad as you wanted it to be, nor the Big East as good as you wanted to be.

Hows about this...when you have proof that you are right send me a message. Because I see no reason to continue to argue an opinion with you.

You still aren't showing any proof. You are just arguing my points.
Did you miss the part about a Big East team that didn't make the tournament beating the SEC champion on a neutral floor?

One game doesn't mean a team nor a conference is better. Any team can beat any other team on any given day. Some are just not as likely.

The interesting part about all this is that the RPI said the Big Ten was the best conference.

The RPI may say that but you have to bring it to the court. The Big 11 is dominant at home but sucks away or neutral.

For whatever it's worth, if Florida wins and the SEC gets 2 in the final 4, that's pretty impressive.

They were dominant against each other at home. They really didn't do much against quality nonconference opponents.

I agree. But it says more about the Tigers and Gators individually than it does about the SEC top to bottom.

The Big 11 was way overrated, but then again, it is common knowledge that they are gonna be overrated.
The Big 10 won't be really good until IU, Purdue, and Michigan get their houses in order.

and MSU needs to learn to live up to hype for once.
They were in the Final Four last year. Izzo's bunch generally holds up their end of the bargain. The rest of the league needs to pick it up, Illinois excepted.

IDK, I always see MSU ranked in the preseason top 15 and they almost always disappoint. Last year and the year they won it all are the exceptions.

Uh, Izzo's been to at least two other Final Fours.

Who ever said LSU and Florida weren't good? As to being underrated, didn't the SEC East champion get beat in the second round? One of the reasons I resurrected the thread I started after seeing LSU play Cincinnati, who by the way beat the SEC Champion on a neutral floor, was that I figured everyone would start playing this "SEC is underrated card." I've never underrated LSU or Florida, I've simply said the rest of the conference isn't very good. I didn't see any other SEC teams doing anything special in the tournament.
Wake up, man! Don't you know there are 3 SEC teams in the Final Four?!?! It's NIT Fever in Columbia, baby! The Gamecocks are headed (back) to New York!
