lol you know what’s crazy about LA is if you wear the wrong sports team hat someone might jump you. Saw a TikTok that said to avoid wearing Braves hats because a certain gang wears it and a rival gang might assume you’re affiliated and ruin your day smh.Welcome aboard. Do you recommend any good gangs to join when I come to LA, or should I start my own?
*We like to joke round here occasionally
Welcome to Vol Nation, @tomber. My wife is a California native (Orange County) who moved to Tennessee many years ago. We are both Orange-blooded Tennesssee fans. Hang in while your hangin' out.Just wanted to say hello and let you know you've got a fan in SoKal. As you can possibly tell, with a name like TomBear, my primary team out here is Cal. Having said that, I've been a Vol fan since '79. They are my SEC team. I try to make it to Nashville every two years, but had missed out on getting to Knoxville in the past. Well.......finally I had time to get to Knoxville last Oct. and while there I got a really nice personal tour of Neyland. Man, that is a great field! Really well maintained, a super-fast track (and really pretty on top of that). I wish we had a field like that at Cal. Big time commendation for your grounds crew!!! Football is best outdoors on grass. But Neyland really is a step above!
Anyway, on occasion I hope to add something valuable (or at least interesting) to some discussions.
For now, I'm very excited to be part of your community.
Go Vols!
Or it’s like a really hot girl who’s mentally insane lol.Yeah, I joined some years ago. However, I had trouble signing in. I tried unsuccessfully to contact someone with some authority about the situation, but I apparently didn't do that very well either. So finally, I got a hold of someone who got me on the right track here and I was finally able to say "hi" and introduce myself.
I was in Nashville this past week for a wedding, and was able to talk a little Vol football with a few folks while I visited.
And yes, for those of you who have either lived in and/or visited our state, the decline of this state is one of the saddest things I've witnessed in my several decades of life. It is still, at least visually, a beautiful state if you can avoid the cities and urban areas. But the way I describe kalifornia to those who ask is our state is like a nice looking woman you see at the end of the bar. You decide to go talk to her, but with each step closer to her you discover things you wish weren't there such as she swears like a sailor, has a zit on her mouth, and has cigarette breath. You can't see those things from a distance. But you sure do notice them as you get closer and closer.
Back to football.......Vols are looking good! That performance in Norman gives hope for really great things. It will be interesting to see how the 'Bama/Georgia game ends up. Season's young. But if things go the right way, hopefully, it will be highly memorable.
Thanks for the greetings from all, and Go Vols!

Your comments about the woman's appearance had me guffawing. It called forth a memory. I used to use foreign commercials s a tool to teach social attitudes way back in the day. One of those tools I used was Heineken beer commercials like the one below.Yeah, I joined some years ago. However, I had trouble signing in. I tried unsuccessfully to contact someone with some authority about the situation, but I apparently didn't do that very well either.
