Hidden Keys: Florida Gators

Experience in big games. Tennessee players have lots of it, Gators are playing a lot of young guys.

Also, Tennessee players are used to winning. Vols have won 13 of the last 15. Gators are 10-14 since beating Tennessee in 2021. There's a lot to be said for expecting and knowing how to win vs. hoping not to lose.

EXPLOSIVE plays! Last two years that was a huge strength of this team. So far this year our plays over 20-25 yards have been almost non-existent. We need those chunk plays to play in front of the sticks and keep the gators on their heels. Go Vols!

Lads and Lassies,

My hidden key this game is how well our TEs block in the run and pass game, and if we can get some big plays from them in the middle of the field. Go...
For me, the hidden key is how well UF finds and goes after Hadden. This is exactly the kind of game that gets into his head, and he goes off on his smack talkin', look at me tour.

How long with the refs let the phantom cramps on the FL defense go so they can get their massive linemen off the field

Our defense is going to eat. They're used to immense crowd noise, so, it will be no different than Neyland. Go Vols!

Oh, and Joe needs some runs to give the gator defense something extra to worry about.

Executing the real playbook.
Not just the vanilla playbook.
This is hogwash. Every year I see people say we’re being vanilla when we suck at times we shouldn’t. Then the real games happen that matter and then fans are on here saying how we are running the same crap we have been. Vanilla play calling is an excuse for looking lackluster lol. Sure we weren’t running trick plays or anything, but the foundation is the same.

You know... this is actually a verrrry interesting point, except the opposite is actually what they will experience. It will be far more quiet when our D is on the field.

I hope they can compensate. 😜💥

I'm fine with vanilla when it works.

4 yards rushing and a cloud of dust all day long works for me. Ain't sexy, but it will get you in the EZ.

Receivers catch an accurately passed ball, lots of pass rush, backs continue to do what they always do, run hard ! If these three things are done completely during the entire game.............................Vols win by a large margin!!!!

IMO: The key is offensive line play for both teams. I expect FL to go 1 safety high, load the box to stop the run. Vols are #1 rushing in SEC, #4 in the nation. If the Vols line protects, we burn them. Their O-line has to do the same. Vols have the #1 D in sacks and tackles for a loss in the nation. The line that dominates wins the game.
