Managing emotions on offense. It will be excruciatingly loud, adrenaline will be pumping...can't allow that to turn into momentum changing plays that continue to fuel the crowd.

keys - QB to WR accuracy for UT and Pressure on Mertz by the DL without blitzing LB's

It will all come down to the leaders. Defensively, I think we'll be fine. Got some dudes on that side of the ball who've experienced big stages before. On offense, the defacto leader has to be the QB. No idea what Milton's mindset will be like or how he'll respond. If we have to depend on the passing game, I think we'll be in trouble. We need to be successful on the ground...just have to. Said it earlier, but it bears repeating. This game and season will come down to how well the OL plays.

I think the key for the Vols will be settling Milton down so he isn't throwing fastballs every time. It seems to take him some time to settle down and start controlling the velocity.

For me, the hidden key is how well UF finds and goes after Hadden. This is exactly the kind of game that gets into his head, and he goes off on his smack talkin', look at me tour.

I was going to go with this as well. You know they will be throwing at Hadden. Hopefully he doesn’t bail them out of 3rd and longs with unnecessary PI’s.

Field position and winning on 1st and 2nd downs on defense. We’ve been a bend don’t break type of team. I say f*** that today. We go out to dominate early and often. Take 3rd and short and 4th and manageable off the table. I don’t care if it comes across as potentially conservative on offense if we punt from a place where we could go for it. Pin them deep, make them predictable and then pound them . When We get the ball back from our own 35 on it dramatically opens the playbook for Joe and this offense to take shots and keeps their safeties from playing up and we can run the ball.

Omari and the other D tackles need to ball out today. Today is a complimentary football day.

Herein lies my biggest concern. On the road in the swamp he needs to get off to a fast start. It has appeared at times he has struggled to do that. A couple of Joe screw ups / 3 and outs to start the game will make everyone play tight.

Hmmm. I wouldn’t call it “the” hidden key but I’ll have to agree that this could easily be a hidden key. Or a Hadden key. I hope this kid goes off today in a good way with multiple PBUs and even a pick or two and not a single PI call. I have a feeling that FL will target him a lot. I mean, wouldn’t we all? Throw at him and expect either a completion or at least a PI call? I hope he knows this and has the game of his life down there.

For the first time all year...everyone did a great job on naming legitimate things. Fantastic.

If he starts that ****, he needs to be benched.
Period.
We lose a lot with him not on the field, but if he's mouthing and not in his zone, he's a pass interference call every time they throw his way.

I'd also say the entire line and having Mays back will be a big help. Going back to as long as I can remember, with little exceptions, the team who wins the rushing game wins this game.

Much has been made about having Mays back at Center, but I haven’t seen it discussed much how that improves the LG position. Lane can now move to that spot, which is an improvement over Karic.

Experience in big games. Tennessee players have lots of it, Gators are playing a lot of young guys.

Also, Tennessee players are used to winning. Vols have won 13 of the last 15. Gators are 10-14 since beating Tennessee in 2021. There's a lot to be said for expecting and knowing how to win vs. hoping not to lose.

Obviously, this didn’t matter. Florida played like the experienced team while Tennessee fell apart.
