I think 91-7 is just too sad. Not good for the game. What can you do, though, when the governing body in the state sets the playoffs up the way they do?

By the way, I think Gatlinburg-Pittman won a state championship in their division a few years back, didn't they?

Ugh... the last HS game I went to, Sherrard beat Farmington 63-13. They ran the score up to something like 4?-0 in the first quarter. Matt Warner, their best of the trio backs, had over 200 yards in the first quarter. They pulled the first team midway through the second quarter. Even the JV team won by 50 points. It was sad. Illinois has a mercy rule where the clock never stops if you're leading by 40 points or something like that. Too bad Sherrard lost in 2nd round of the playoffs. Oh yeah... the Farmington Farmers haven't won a game in 4 years I think. The had to forfeit against Aledo, who hasn't missed the playoffs in 9 years or so and are still going strong. Ugh... I hate Aledo, Sherrard beat them 23-6 I think. The Green Dragons' only loss this year and they are probably going to be state champs in 2A ball. 91-7 is pretty outstanding. I think the high score in IL is 107 or something like that. And of course that was before the mercy rule. Does TN have a mercy rule?

Alcoa is a great football team, but G-P shouldnt have even been in the playoffs there not a good football team by a long stretch. I said this same thing in another thread, I play for CAK (Christian Academy of Knoxville). We lost to Alcoa 49-14, we were in the game in the first half it was 21-14, but in the second half we did terrible we got in their redzone 5 times for 0 points, it was a really tough loss because we should have won the game. Alcoa's coach said in the paper and to us after the game that we were by far the best team they've played other than Maryville so the game wasnt as bad as the score showed. It just as easily could have been 49-42 but we got beat up and alot of our key players were missing for the 4th quarter. I think we played them about as well as any team can on this side of Nashville on the 2a level, we lost to Loudon by 7 who we should have beaten and are probably a better team than, I'd like to see how they do against Alcoa next week, they got beat earlier in the year 26-0 by Alcoa.
