Podcasts are the way to go, man. There are so many amateur pods out there, that you're bound to find something that suits you. Plus pretty much everything by Bill Simmons/Grantland is good.

I tend to avoid ESPN whenever possible. Sportscenter is unwatchable now, unless you like hours of NBA (i.e. the Miami Heat/LA Lakers basketball league) coverage.

SC is the most palpable of sports news coverage. I'd like to think Fox could step up, but I watched their show the other night: um, no. But you're right, SC seemed to have a winning formula of collective wit and sports news. Now, they spend more time promoting themselves and providing non-stop coverage of mediocre QBs on teams who won't even make the playoffs.

I think Fox Sports Live is fantastic. It's just (gasp) sports reporting, with a good mix of all major sports. They don't go overboard on the Lakers, Heat, Yankees, Cowboys, etc. They don't waste ten minutes a show on some heartfelt news piece about someone dying. They just report what happened. I'm not against the occasional heartfelt piece, but ESPN goes overboard with it, like they do for everything trying to sensationalize everything.

FS1's College Football Live is light years better than College Gameday even with the tool Clay Travis on there.

For web coverage, I stick with Yahoo Sports or CBS Sports. I've all but eliminated ESPN's non game programming from my life and I'm a more in touch sports fan because of it. Anyone else notice the huge turnover ESPN has had in reporters the past 3-4 years?

Olberman is a hack too - trying to imitate sat night lives weekend update and that idiot on comedy central --- so old and not funny at all -- wheres my remote

Olbermann and Dan Patrick were entertaining together on SportsCenter about 20 years ago. Then Olbermann thought himself a political pundit. Not so funny anymore.
