Hiking, kayaking, biking, skiing, camping, hunting and other outdoor activities. Show me your pictures

My baby girl, 12 years old, wants me and her to hike some of it one day.

I have no idea how much I have hiked it, probably not much, but just some of it due to it connecting with other trails we have hiked.

When I think of the AT, I now think about the lady's story that was on the tv show North Woods Law. She was in her sixty's and was hiking it, but this one time she hiked it alone as I think it was a friend or family member could not continue on. If I recall correctly, her husband would drop her off and meet her at certain points and she never came to one of the meeting points so he called the wardens in Maine for help. They tried searching for her and never found her. It was two years later when someone came across her body. For some reason, she went off the trail and never found her way back. She tried texting her husband but her texts never went through and she journaled her last few days - she heard helicopters searching for her, but they didn't see her. Such a sad story, but a good reminder to stay on trail.

She was from Tennessee as well.

Does anyone have a sleeping pad/ sleeping bag combo they like? Or do you just go with the sleeping bag?

My family and I hiked the Window Cliffs Trail at Burgess Falls on Mother's Day. That's my wife and daughter crossing the creek the 1st of 9 times. We didn't prepare properly so we weren't able to finish. Will definetly be going back.

We haven't been camping in years, but are gonna go this summer God willing. Probably to the state park at lake Lanier, but tent camp. Bought 3 sleeping bags today, gonna get a cot for my wife, and find a tent. Girls are wanting to go badly.

Since our Safari has been postponed, we are looking to use the 2 weeks instead to go on a different trip. We are thinking about Yellowstone and Rocky Mountain. Yellowstone just reopened and Rocky Mountain is reopening next week, so hopefully they stay opened. Yellowstone we plan on staying in different areas, looks like we are going to be restricted based on current availability where we stay.

At any rate, for those that have been to either, can you tell me your must stops or hikes that you loved?
