Hillary claims she is being attacked.

I have a Hillary joke:

Bill Clinton, Al Gore and Hillary all die and go to Heaven.

God asks Bill "What do you believe in?"
Bill says "I did a bad thing but Americans forgave me so I believe in forgiveness."
God says "Step on in."

God asks the same question to Al Gore.
Gore replies "I believe I was cheated, but I accepted it, therefore I believe in acceptance."
God tells him to step on inside too.

God then asks Hillary, "What do you believe in?"
Hillary replies, "I believe your in my seat!"

Hillary is so dramatic. I heard a sound bite from her this morning saying the country was in an "economic meltdown". Good grief.

Let me guess, then she started crying because she loves the country so much.

Sucks for Bill, I didn't see one tear during the Monica stuff.

She has never shed a tear her entire political life (all 35 years of it) until somone told her to soften up.

in her round of interview this morning, she looked like she'd been attacked by a saber toothed tiger with a whole quiver full of ugly / old sticks.

She could not have looked any worse and she made the rounds on all the networks. Handlers, please don't do that to us ever again.

as vile as that woman is, she still garners an obscene amount of support just because of who she's "married" to.

It doesn't say much for the women's movement when it's standard bearer has ridden the coattails of her husband wherever she's gone.

As a truck driver, I get to deal with idiocy from the general public on a daily basis. It's amazing to listen to some genius on the CB expound on how he's looking forward to seeing Bill back in the White House.

The sad thing is that Chris Matthews had it right the other night before he wussed out and apologized. The only reason Hillary is in the position she is in is because she is viewed as the most cheated on woman in the world.

Romney had one of the better lines of the entire campaign last night pertaining to Bill being back in the White House.

didn't see it. what was the gist?
He got a question regarding Hillary Clinton and he paused and said "First of all, I shudder at the prospect of Bill Clinton being back in the White House with nothing to do."

nice.

but let's all be honest, we'd take a quasi-centrist like Bill, over Hillary every day and twice on Sundays.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't a lot of people complain back in the 90s that the real reason Bill was in the white house was because of Hillary's prowess and power and that she was running a lot of things behind the scenes? I'm pretty sure I remember hearing those complaints a lot. Now, it seems like the standard complaint is that she would be nothing if it weren't for him. What gives?

I definitely wasn't one of those people. Bill Clinton is probably the best pure politician I'll see in my lifetime. I also don't think it's fair to say Hillary would be nothing without Bill. She's obviously a very intelligent and driven person . . . but I still say that if Paula Jones, Gennifer Flowers and Monica Lewinsky had never existed, Hillary Clinton would be an afterthought in Presidential politics. In a twisted way, I think a lot of people see a vote for Hillary as the payoff or the crap she endured.

Well - no one on this board may have been in the group that I am speaking of....but I certainly remember hearing all the Hillary jokes when Bill was President and hearing about how she really controlled the white house. She was supposedly the master schemer behind the scenes that had controlled his political career to put her where she wanted to be.

It always seemed like Hillary was interested in pursuing politics after the white house years ... she took too active a role in things like health care policy while she was first lady not to have those interests. Maybe you are right about the fact that Bill cheated on her helped propel her to those goals. However, as someone who is not a Hillary supporter, I don't totally see that. In some ways, her response to that whole ordeal turned me away from her more because it was clear that she was responding in a very politically calculated way, something that tends to turn me off more than impress me.

I sure hope voters, don't pity her for putting up with a cheating husband.

She should have stood up for herself, and left him, and she must have low self esteem to have stayed with him.

Umm...I think that she realized she would ultimately be more powerful with him than without him....just my opinion.

If that is the case, then I can now blame her for all the idiotic mistakes that administration did to us. (or what is coming to us). I will comfortably say Bill will eventually go down as one of the worst presidents in history. (right behind Bush)

nobody was giving credit to Hillary for anything relating to Bill being in the oval office

My brother-in-law, a Democratic office holder with some serious connections was going to sit this one out until a former governor of his state called to ask him to support Hillary. In the end, both he and the governor made their decision to support her based on their shared belief that a vote for Hillary was really a vote for Bill and they both dearly wanted that to happen. Neither man would have supported her otherwise.

Maybe I was too young to understand what they were saying...but I definitely heard it. It wasn't like I was 5 either...but still young (12 to 18). I know I didn't know my political butt from a political hole in the ground then - but I do know what I heard...and I remember that being said.
