We can win any war, it's installing democracy, while preventing a civil war, that's causing issues.

it worked for Germany and Japan after WWII. Germany, in particular, had an insurgency problem after the War, but the nation (re)building eventually worked.

Hey thats it the US can lose a war and someone will rebuild us! Why didnt we think of that before! Oh yeah theres that fact that we seem as a nation to want fix everyone but ourselves thing again, and nobody but nobody will help us they way we helped them...oh bother.

I don't see the United States, coming up with a Marshall plan to rebuild Iraq, like we did Germany.
