Not according to CNN. They said W was the worst ever so he is the worst ever, CNN said so according to the Gallup Poll. Oh wait, that was determined to only be out of the last 11 Presidents. Anyways, you got a link?

Again, thanks to everyone for the ideas, I have gone about it mostly from the standpoint of Republican collusion in trying to remove Johnson from office. At this point, it probably isn't the strongest paper I have ever written, but I say that every time I write something so we will see.
As soon as this is in I get to jump into the more challenging stuff, a review and political analysis of The Departed for Politics and Film, and a rhetorical evaluation of FDR's first inaugural speech for Political Communications. I am definitely getting my ass kicked for the next week or so.
The Real Lincoln, very interesting piece. Starting in the spring i will be teaching a historical perpectives class, its an upper level HS class, but thats one of the pieces we are going to be using.
Hey quick question for you older folks regarding assisanations and a President name Johnson...
How was it viewed when LBJ was sworn in before AirForce 1 took off in Dallas after JFK was assassinated with his casket laying there and Jackie O crying with blood on her dress? Was that viewed as disrespectful, or just the way business had to be done?
well i wasnt there, but i mean you can look at it several ways. Either that was how it had to be done. You could look at it from the conspiricacy stand point and that was kind of the resolution of their plan. Or you could look at it from the fact that Johnson was being a disrespectful a-hole. However there had to be a president, and the "swearing in" couldve waited till post-funeral...
I was curious how it was viewed at the time, now we can look back at it and say well we were in the middle of the Cold War, and fresh from the Cuban missile crisis, who knows what would have happened while AF1 was in flight, Russians could have taken advantage, etc, etc.

You should start your essay on the fact that Johnson was chosen as VP as a "reconciliation" candidate, as opposed to his predecessor....By the time he took office, the Rubicon had been crossed, and Johnson had to do his best to wing it, leading to the reconstruction policy, where, in most cases, the government took the pain of the losses to RE Lee out on the southern states.
