Ape, what do you mean by destroying individuality?

Individual freedom and the ability to exist without being mandated to participate fully in divers professional/social databases, workfroce, etc. I'm drunk at noon on Monday, so my powers of vocabulary are suffering.

That makes sense. I just didn't know what you meant. Technology has a way of destroying regional homogeneity, but I get what you are saying. Some people can't be themselves when it's all public (I'm not totally myself on "anonymous" VN, because I often log in at work).

I love having off on Monday, and I love being drunk in the AM/early PM. I easily imagine a near future where my BAC is constantly tracked. **** that.

RIP hitchbot!

I was bruised and battered, I couldn't tell what I felt.
I was unrecognizable to myself.
Saw my reflection in a window and didn't know my own face.
Oh brother are you gonna leave me wastin' away
On the streets of Philadelphia.

can't say I am surprised, but hate that this happened. To me it seems like another case of taking advantage of the helpless. not pissed off like i would be if a real person was killed but can't help but think of the person who did this as a worthless p.o.s. I thought it was a cool experiment, can robots trust humans and hitchhike across a country. Answer is no, they can't trust us.

Unless it's Canada, Germany, or the Netherlands.

To NY and Boston's credit he got around fine there. Even went to a Red Sox game.

I'm not a paranoid type, but I wouldn't trust that robot as far as I could throw it.
