If I had to bet my check on a Vol - Bama match up right now… I love my Vols but couldn’t put money on our team. I do think Bama is the better team. That does not take away from the amazing season we had and I will happily be attending whatever bowl game we go to.

No. I am ecstatic with the way our season turned out. I am only frustrated because we deserve to be ahead of Bama, if the committee actually made decisions using the rules that they set in place.

This has been beaten to death, but they did follow their rules. They just didn’t bother to make a rule for the obvious because it would never happen.

No top five team is going to be blown out like a mid major playing ‘95 Nebraska. So why make an obvious rule.

Every team has lost their Heisman candidate for the rest of the year? Banged up is a helluva lot different than what happened to Hooker.

If this were an Alabama forum and you were a Bama fan, you would be talking about TN's bad losses to SC and UGA. And the fact that they were 4 points away from an undefeated season. And the fact that Hooker is hurt.

Fact is, an argument can be made for both teams. And neither team has much reason to complain.

Unfortunately, it appears the committee is buying Bama's argument more. It's as simple as that.

We would be debating if we should get in over TCU, Mich, and or USC.
We could have beaten SC and still been left out but obviously we will never know. Think of the meltdown that would have caused....and there would have been a few on here who would have said "if we had played better against GA we wouldn't be having this conversation."
The one thing we do know is that we would be debating our ranking and how we were being screwed no matter what.

Except now we'd absolutely be in as the likely 3 seed.
