As hard as that is, is it possible that if MICH clobbers TCU, GA has significant wins against OSU and then MICH, that UT and Bama would join GA in the final top 3? If Bama squeaks by and we win big maybe we end up number 2. In this case I believe the end justifies the means.

Just need GA to beat the Big10 guys by more than 14 to make it tough to not drop them. I will also suck it up and pull for SC, 1 because it makes our loss look better and 2 they are playing ND.

If we lose I may have to reassess my position, but doubt it.

At this point, does it even matter? We finished where we finished. No one remembers who made the end of year top 4 or whatever. They only remember the champion, barely remember the 4 playoff teams, and everyone else isn't even relevant.

This was a good year for us. A great year even. Could it have been even better? Yes. But it wasn't. And that's still far beyond what any of us thought in the beginning of the year. We beat Bama, and that was a moment I'll remember for a lifetime.

We will have our day in the sun, but it isn't this year. I'm excited about the Orange bowl, and hope we beat Clemson, and Milton shows us he is ready to be the guy in 2023.

We recruit harder against GA.. Kirby with a bunch of Sabenesque Natty rings won't help that. And if they get beat by "an inferior team" it gives us gunpowder to recruit against them down the road. Come on guys, think outside the box!!!

I usually stay fairly loyal to the SEC and just don’t want us or any other SEC teams to lose to the likes of the Big10, ACC, PAC12, BIG12 etc (there certainly are exceptions to that rule). So…I agree. I will be expecting GA to beat these football imposters and send them home where they belong. Hopefully I am secure enough in who I am as a VFL to think logically and not let my Vol-ism sour my position.😀

UT and Bama don't have easy roads to wins in their bowl games (mostly because of portal, optouts and injuries). In fact I predict the SEac on general won't do well in bowls this year and in most cases vs 'lesser' teams. Everyone outside of UT, Bama and UGA are playing in the loser bracket bowls and most aren't just happy to be there. NIL/portal/optouts will hit talented team moreso than their opponents. The whole landscape of the bowls has changed and until we go to the 12 team playoff I feel like it stays this way another year or two.

But yes if UGA can win out along with UT and Bama that would be a very good look for the SEC which is good for all involved. I also dislike Bama, UGA and Florida with a passion. That being said I always want all our opponents to win against everyone but us especially our SEC brethren. Then winning helps us.. period. It gives the SEC the respect and legitimacy it has. If things went how most fans here want we'd be.. the ACC or the Big 10.

Funny enough other SEC teams winning helps our recruiting. It's why teams like Kentucky and Ole Miss and Miss state can rise from the cellar every few years. Over the last decade every single SEC team has spent time in the top25 and went to bowls most conferences can't say that. Our worst teams would be competitive in most other leagues. As a fan sometimes it's hard to put the fanatic hatred aside and use the noggin. I get it.

I think he’s talking about Final AP rankings after all games are played

NEVER root for a rival. No good comes out of it for us. Ga with back to back nattys? No thank you. You think their recruiting is good now, this will improve it. You know how much talent is in Ga and how much we recruit here?

Also, I live here and all my friends are mutts. I'm rooting for anyone but GA

I want the two Big 10 teams to get clobbered, then I want TCU to beat Georgia.

I was thinking how many times a recruit has stated “I just want to play in the SEC the Best conference in the nation”. In fact we have several on our team that felt that way. So I agree. CLEARLY… the SEC winning is almost always a good thing for us.
