Well since we have had one undefeated season in our entire history.....maybe our expectations are a tad ridiculous....now if we lose the next 3 like one poster stated then people will have some reason to complain.

Promises, Promises. Seriously, have you posted anything positive during the season long undefeated run, or simply waited until they finally lost their first game during the murderers row this section of four games look to be? Even Pat Summit lost games during her National Championship runs.

I read the first page and skipped the rest.
The people commenting have no ground to stand on. As most of you have said - none of the people complaining NEVER comment on Lady Vols basketball. You are nothing but a roach.

Bottom line we are 15-1, lost in overtime to a good team, our freshman played like freshman at times and that cost us. I wasn't too pleased with our rebounding and our defense (allowing three players scoring 20+) Nobody wins when they allow three players do this.

Holly isn't to blame - the team is, simple as that. Our record speaks for it self. Your only complaint is we lost one game ... go sit your self down and eat some pie. You just embarrass yourself with your non-sense. The team still had itself the opportunity to win the game - Holly set up a play (and the play worked because Jamie was WIDE open) for whatever reason our PG decided to not to execute.

End of discussion, this thread needs deleted - you just lost all credibility to your name.

I knew it the first lost y’all would be on it listen holly last play had Jamie wide open we could not get her the ball damn holly for fouling a three point shooter and putting the ball in her point h
Guard and best player hands at the end of a fame damn her she only 15-1 during the toughest stretch with 3 freshman getting starter mins damn holly she is not allowed to lose one game damn it or we want her fired u fans are horrible I mean horrible wen we were winning you were waiting for us to lose now we lost it’s holly the staff and everything but wen we beat Texas and Stanford I didn’t hear this

Leading by 2, you must guard the 3-point line, with the emphasis of not fouling the 3-point shooters.

This loss is as bad as last year's LSU loss, when leading by 1, we fouled the LSU player. Then we should have pulled all players back, allowing only our free-throw shooter at the offensive end.

How we know that shot wasn't going in. The best time to foul is before they take the shot on the screen.
Holly didn't foul her of course joking everyone seems to be blaming Holly for that foul and I'm sure she didn't want it to happen. Players sometimes do things they are not instructed to do.

The girls lost a game, did u think they would go undefeated?

Armchair coaches are the best..

Maybe I should have used blue font or something. I was joking about people that think Holly was responsible for that foul. I didn't see Holly on the court and I'm sure she didn't request a foul on a three point shot.

If Geno was coaching this team none of the games would be close. Maybe it’s our expectations. It’s hard to follow a legend. Nah, it’s coaching.

So we have never lost a game in OT? I was there during the heyday of the Pat Summit dynasty, and I remember some great games and some real stinkers during the 80s. That is another benefit of band life; I got to see a lot of Lady Vol Basketball from courtside.

Please explain how the coach prevents a player from having a mental error and doing something inexplicably. DO you honestly think that CHW told them to make sure and run out there and foul the shooter? Man, I don't think Pat Summit herself would have made it as far as she did if this crazy fan mindset was there in the 80s and 90s.

Great post and I especially loved the comment in bold. Add to that - social media is also bad and can have a negative impact. People need to get a grip and stay in their lane.

So you are going to tell me that there has never been a foul take place on a three point shot anywhere else other than Tennessee? Do you really want to make that statement? In the heat of the moment even the best coached, veteran players make bonehead plays. This was a bone headed play by a FRESHMAN!!! It happens! What was she supposed to do? Call a timeout before her player made contact?
