I dunno, I agree that people need to give them a break too. The mid-season meltdowns ... ehh, it's what people do, sure, but it's only compounding the problem. Their job recruiting would be a hell of a lot easier if they weren't being torched daily, but it's the territory. If you aren't making the FF, if you aren't winning titles, if you aren't getting Top 5 recruiting classes every year, then you are not a good coach if you're at Tennessee. That's an incredibly high standard but that's what UT fans feel about the matter. Holly was never going to be Pat, but the anger is especially deafening at this point.

I would use the word vicious rather than deafening.

Let her finish the season and either show she is an elite HC or not. It's her roster and it was highly rated by the analysts. So much so that they were ranked #4 pre-season. If it continues as is, it will become even more obvious even to the blind loyalists.

Accept the truth or not, there were blind loyalists that did not want to fire Dools. Had he won one or two more games his last season Hart would have even let him stay another year and there would be no Butch Jones turning the football program into elite status again. Once they made the change it became very clear how deeply the program had sunk and what had to be done to bring it back. But wait until the season is over when there are more top candidates to pursue. The LV's have what UK, Duke, etc. have in the men's game. There is a strong tradition of winning along with excellent facilities and fan support. It can turn around quickly with the right leadership.

Blind Loyalists = people who don't agree with me (so they must be blind because I am always right).

Currently making $775,000, at Louisville, a Basketball school, for one of the best AD's in the country...

Sure, offer 1 Million, will Louisville match it? Probably. If he says yes, you win BG...if he says no, what's your back up plan?

lol, 'cause if there's a cheaper back up, I think you'll be talking Hart's language.

I'm not playing role of AD right now with my list of 9 backups. I'm playing the role of fan. Summit was making somewhere around $1.1-1.3m so the money and precedent is there. Walz is a northern KY guy and has spent 35 of his 44 years in KY so he's home and may have no desire to leave. But if a change is made you have to take a shot IMO.

I could careless if Holly is the second coming of Pat or any other great coach, however, she needs to act like a coach. Look at her recruiting record, only one post in 4 years and nil in 2016. Fans can certainly be part of the issue but Holly has created a lot of this upon herself. The ball we are playing is very frustrating. No one begged her to take the reins, she took them knowing she was replacing a legend. She either has to deal with that fact or get out of the kitchen.

It is apparent that you have not listen to basketball announcers talk about how Tennessee is losing games with top 3 talent. Have you not read articles which relate to the demise of the LV program? Fan attitude is not the only thing affecting recruiting. It is also the prevailing opinion of sources outside of the LV program.

Holly has no control over the team and the chemistry is the worse I have seen in over 30 years of watching LV basketball. I agree we need to lay off the players because they should not be running the team, if they are, it is on the coach.

Who says I don't see it? So childish venting/ranting on players, coaches and fans is going to rectify this? I wish people would stop calling me a Holly supporter like that is something bad. I am a team supporter through good and bad and will defend the team to my last breath. And yes….mature. I hope you develop enough some day that people can use your name and that word in the same sentence because right now….not so much.

Who is mature or who is not is based upon which side of the equation you are on. There are a lot of differences of opinion on this board, however, who died and left any of us in charge to call each other either childish or mature? That determination is only an opinion and opinions are like Aholes, everyone has one.

If you desire to defend the team until your last breath, good or bad, that is a choice that you have made, however, not everyone feels the same as you. It is tough to defend bad playing and coaching. Now I do not feel it is right to blame the players for this less than stellar product we are seeing displayed on the court.

That's fair, and I agree with you IF (A) happens, then (B)...only it doesn't generally work out like that using MBB and FB as examples.

As it pertains to` just being a fan of the Lady Vols BB program, I really worry about the next move, on a lot of levels...should it come to that.

The one saving grace for LVBB, assuming the money is there (as it should be), is you have the #1/#2 WBB program of all time to sell. Hart as an AD should feel confident in approaching every coach in America save for 1-2.
