Obviously, that is your desire. You've posted over 1200 times on VN in 2 years, and almost all of those are a Holly bash. No matter the thread, no matter your subject, you blame everything on Holly and how horrible she is.

Did you wanna ride on her motorcycle and she said no?

Just change your screen name to HOLLY HATER then you could make your agenda clear without struggling to weave awkwardly "it's Holly's fault" into every post.

Lol. Never give up hope. You'll get another chance to ride. VROOOOM! VROOOOM!

I posted 1200 times and half of that is me Holly bashing?

And you have no clue on why that is? :eek:lol:

This is truly beating a dead horse. Holly's public speaking skills are non-existent. We all know that. It's inconceivable to me why the AD hasn't required her to take a public speaking course somewhere. These are known issues. Move on already.

Public speaking is the least of Holly's issues....Our team needs to be instructed in how to play basketball.... individually and from team standpoint.... fundamentally and otherwise.... from the presser she says team needs to improve on defensive prowess and leadership.... really? then the offense is just fine? and expecting leadership on the team to be good when the leadership of program is not is structurally impossible. Hope we do well though

If Holly was a top 10 coach, I would not care if all she could do was use sign language. I just want the team to play constantly like a top 10 team and quit making cupcakes look like top 10 teams. Realistically we have had the talent.

No, Holly is not a great orator but we should compare her to the baseline of other coaches.

Very few are really good at this part of the job; most talk in cliches and platitudes, stare at the stat sheet and recite numbers -- well we were 2 for 117 from beyond the arc; we need to shoot better,

That is why I love Greg Popovich so much; he recognizes the farcical nature of these press conferences and take it to a level of performance art. But most coaches play it straight and get through the ritual incantations as best they can.

Anyone expecting Holly (or any coach for that matter) to express revelations about a team in these Q&A sessions is ALWAYS going to be disappointed because no coach in his/her right mind would ever say more than what is patently obvious. Why give the opposition any heads up at all?

I didn't say half of them. I estimated that MOST of them were Holly-bashing. Half would be a blessing.

Stop being a glutton for punishment. Just ignore me like you're ignoring Holly's lack of coaching ability?

The above does not apply to CHW. :eek:k:

Hear and see for yourselves. Go and watch her pressers.

If you could put aside your contempt for Holly a minute, and could look at the pressers of who you consider great coaches, you would see that Madtown is right. I remember growing up and watching the Bear Bryant show. He didn't exactly set the world on fire either when it came to interviews but he was a pretty good coach (just one of many, many examples). Comparing public speaking in front of a camera with the ability to coach a basketball team is not fair. Some people are not actors nor do they want to be. Some people just prefer to be what they are and not act like something they are not. I don't see this as a weakness.

I have no problem with Holly and her in front of the camera style wise...... My issue is what she says.... saying that one key focus is defense.... (we have needed a competent offense since Holly took over... even before that... but this is not a focus of HW..... she talks defense because she understands it better I think)..... and saying things like... "If I knew what was wrong with the team I would fix it"..... why would anyone say that....etc etc etc

If you can't explain yourself in an interview, I don't think you will do any different in front of a basketball team.

Could it be that Holly is working on the new offense and is faking out the rest of the world by proclaiming defense? Just saying......
