This is strictly for SEC play.

Home -- (5-2)
remaining: Vandy, Mizzou

Away -- (2-4)
TX AM, Miss. St, Auburn

Just these stats make me nervous..

I'd rather it be this way than vice versa

Unpredictable.
Least expected 5-0.
Probably what they'll do.

Auburn played well last night. I think that could be a tough game. I don't see us losing the other 2 road games.

If we play like we did against auburn it ankhs be a pretty easy W. Get out running and jacking up 3s and you're gonna see a nail biter, they've got some guards who can fill it up.

I went back and checked the 3 point percentage in all of the road games. Your statement you live and die by the 3 is nothing but accurate as far as this team is concernced. In the two road wins we were 17 of 35 from beyond the arc. In the four road losses we were a combined 14 of 76!!

Did you go back and check the 1-3-1 though?

I don't know anything about Auburn's guards. Do you think the zone we deployed against Florida would be worth exploring for longer periods of time? With our length would it be to our advantage or would it set us up for a potential barrage?

Edit: and I hope no hard feelings from the other day. Just busting your balls. I apologize if I came off like a 'Richard'. There needs to be a sarcasm font. :eek:k:

No hard feelings man

I said last night, I think you'll see us try the 1-3-1 earlier against auburn than you typically see us attempt it. Denson had his way with us last time, Harrel and denson are the only way they've got a chance to win. Limit those 2 and we should be able to get a W.

This. And then probably get shelled by Vandy or USCe in the first SEC tourney game where we'd shoot 26 3-pointers and Stokes gets 5 shot attempts.

It's just what we do.

I feel good about the A&M, Vandy and Missouri games due to the revenge factor.

Miss St is horrible so we should be OK there even on the road.

I do think Auburn is probably the scariest of the 5 but I am going to bank on the side that this team is going to make a run.

I think we blow the first game in the SEC Tourney though and quite feel 100% confident on selection sunday.

This was just a sly comment based on my support for the 1-3-1 zone Tennessee runs! Of course this post that is being commented on is about our offense not our defense but the smart one made it anyway. Here is my original comment, "I went back and checked the 3 point percentage in all of the road games. In answer to the question, I have studied all of the instances that Tennessee has run the 1-3-1 and I think I am correct in saying the four people out front have prevented a 3 point shot from being taken when the defense is set up not in transition. I also do not believe a 3 point shot has been made from the corner when the trap there occurs out of the 1-3-1. If I am wrong please send me to the game and the time it occured. Some of you make fun of it but Tennessee would have won a half a dozen more games if they had used it with their man-to-man. I used to coach a lot. That is my opinion!

Be on the edge of our seats on selection sunday if that happens.
Projected rpi for 20-11 is 50.2.
