I get the point, but the fact he isn't even close to one of their top 5, yet performs the way he does and makes his team better, helps his case imo. I don't think he will be a finalist or should win b/c it's about being flashy with that award, but I think him being average and killing it is even a better statement. Sometimes it's about not being the best player, but playing the best, with some voters. I hate that I even pay attention to that award still.I tend to think you should be a top 5 player on your team to be considered the best player in football, but that’s just me.
then you have that joker at Clemson, who is the opposite. He kills his team, in spite of being the "better" athlete/player/prospect.He’s terrific at what he’s asked to do, which is not screw up. Put him in Max Duggan’s role and he’s got a bunch of picks and TCU has a bunch of losses.

Doing what it takes to make your team better and not screwing up(even with a stacked roster around you) isn't always as easy as we think. Few can pull it off. What that clown Bennett has done the last couple of years is amazing. Kinda reminds me of Ken Dorsey in being an average player who is surrounded by studs, yet somehow beats out the better prospects. For anyone that loves college sports, Bennett's story is amazing. For those who hate UGA, like myself, it's less enjoyable)
Had they let Duggan punch it in on 4th -1 in overtime he probably did enough today to win the Heisman. He’s terrific at what he’s asked to do, which is not screw up. Put him in Max Duggan’s role and he’s got a bunch of picks and TCU has a bunch of losses.
yes, but doesn't mean we have to like him.Agree as I can’t argue the facts. He has played well as many Ga fans were concerned he would be a one yr wonder. He makes plays when needed and is a very intelligent young man who has played himself into having his name called on draft day or picked up via free agency. Either way he will have a NFL career as his name has been buzzing among many NFL scouts and GMs.
plenty of QB's lose ballgames with loaded teams. Plenty of them struggle to win. If you don't think Bennett has been a key to their success then I question how much you've watched them over the last couple of years. People think any guy can step in and QB loaded rosters, but if that were true, then why don't more of them do it?It aint the qb that has that team undefeated, trust me
Too much credit to the little guy. GA could average 10 pts a game and be undefeated with that defense. Also, he throws a lot to McConkey. Take away him and he’s even less efficient. Bottom line: nice record but not individually impressed. This is a balanced team. Bennett just doesn’t get you beat. That’s not the definition of game changer and therefore not heisman worthyplenty of QB's lose ballgames with loaded teams. Plenty of them struggle to win. Noted. Crouch, ouch, another all time bad heisman selection. Isn’t he selling cars now?whoa, I never saif the guy should win the Heisman, I'm saying that some voters vote for the guys that do these things. I am saying he deserves more credit than you're giving. That doesn't mean I think he is a Heisman winner caliber type, but some voters do take those things into account. Eric Crouch won the dang thing for crying out loud.

Stetson Bennett is an average at best player surrounded by elite talent.Stetson Bennett is going to win the Heisman.
Probably cost him a lot of money tooHa. All I know is NFL teams kept trying to sell him on paying DB but he was convinced he was an NFL QB. Tebow did the same when teams tried moving him. Crouch , to his credit, said "the NFL isn't the end all be all for me". I think it was dumb to not switch, but the man stood on his wayward principles.
