I just pray Verne quits calling him Big Baby, how I love the picture quality of CBS just none of the announcers.

Good to see the Great White Hope vote out in full effect. All three Florida players on the second team are superior to Parsons.

amazing! i actually understand this post! i am doing a research paper over Jack Johnson right now.

sorry for the off topic post though.

Has Hopson improved his handle? If he has, he could be good. If not, he'll continue to disappoint. He HAS to become a good ball-handler, so that he can use his athleticism to take the rock to the rim and be both the inside and outside threat that exceptional players are. Great players beat their defenders off the dribble, draw fouls--and it's hugely important for the team too. A Hall of Fame college coach told me recently that you can't be a good offensive team unless you have guys who can create and score off the dribble.

He dribbled it off his leg out of bounds when driving during the scrimmage if that helps.

I'm not trying to say that Knight is inept at attacking the rim HF. Not by any stretch, I am just saying that Wall is probably the best PG I have seen at attacking the rim in the last 5 years at the college level. He attacks the rim like D-Rose, but has an above the rim game where D-Rose is a layup kinda guy. Knight doesn't have the size but will make up for it in other areas and he is very capable of hitting a seam and getting a quick easy bucket. What I am basing my opinion on isn't just youtube videos or all-star games.

His Canada tour impressed, but after looking more closely, there were no interior defenders worth noting that he went up against. I think had there been a few legitimate shot blockers on the court, he wouldn't have been able to attack the basket like he did. Then there was the blue and white game the other night. Again, no real interior shot-blocking defender to really test him. I will say this, the more I watch him, the more I am impressed with his quicks, his strength, and his shooting more than anything. That kid is lethal with or without a hand in his grill. He will bring a different style to what coach Cal is used to having at the PG position that is for sure. He is an elite player and I meant no slight toward him or his game whatsoever, it is just vastly different than Wall and Wall is a once a decade type talent.

I can't wait for the season to get here! I gotta fever and the only cure is more b-ball!

I think they listed the players randomly. Thompkins is the best pro prospect/player out of the group, so he would have been listed at the top if they did it by best player. UF is going to have a very good team this year with great depth, but I am really glad they didn't get Austin Rivers for 2011.

I still see UF as a "soft" team. They don't have much interior presence and their backcourt is inconsistent, experienced all around, but inferior talent to UT, UK, and I'd almost say equal to UGA and Vandy tbh

That would not surprise me one bit. Is it just me, or does Verne like the antics and story lines involved more than the actual game that is being played?
