This guy is a Mcdonalds AA???? There are rumors of him going pro???? I must be watching something different, because it is the norm for him to play soft and the exception for him to show up. I just dont understand this team, I was completely embarrased watching the Vandy game last night, It's freakin Vandy, they could have beat us by 45 if they wanted to.

Hopson is very good against the UNC Ashevilles of the world, he typically disappears against good teams

Hopson is not ever going to be an aggressive, physical player. He doesn't use his talent--stands around too much, doesn't play aggressive, and still is poor defensively. He would be nuts to even think about going pro at this point. I'm not sure he will ever play different that he is playing now. He will never be a take-over the game player.

He would rather shoot 3s as opposed to being aggresive and driving to the basket, maybe he is scared I don't know. He takes the path of least resistance.

The one play last night where he showed some fire was when he stole the ball from A.J and did a spin move that had some intensity.

I don't know if it comes down to toughness? I think he just has to keep working on getting stronger with his dribblling. When he typically drives hard, he loses the ball with marginal contact.

Scotty is a waste of scholarship if you ask me, this whole team is too inconsistent.

i think this is right. he is talented. but his biggest problem is that he is soft... it's especially evident on the defensive side of the ball. having said that... it's not the worst problem to have.

I got a question? Were you all complaining about him when he hit the game winner against Florida?

I will say he has not lived up to the hype, but "bust" is a little strong.

Considering how high the expectation were, I consider it a bust.

With that said, he has the ability to be very good, he just doesn't seem to want to be that guy.

He just doesn't play with a fire all the time. Sometimes i watch him and i am thinking to myself why are you not trying.

One shot will not save you from criticism, just like the win over Kansas, that is now a distant memory and doesn't mean as much after getting hammered by Vandy twice.

You are right in that on this website we have a very "what have you done for me lately attitude". I understand he didn't have a good game yesterday and it was noticeable that he moped around but to call him a bust is ridiculous. IMO if I need someone to hit a big shot on this team I look for Scotty.
