Picked an interesting night to post this? Something tells me this one was written before the game started.

i've done my fair share of ripping hopson.... but come on. he was the ONLY guy that came to play tonight. he was the only reason we stayed in the game as long as we did.

Good grief. This joint lives to rip our players by name. Rip the coach, who is a professional and highly paid. These life's picked the Vols and want to play here.

This is ignorance at its best to post something like this when Hopson plays his best game of the year. Our "fans" absolutely amaze me sometimes.

We have a horrible basketball fanbase...on Volnation.

this. i mean we're 20-7. i don't think anyone thought we would have done this well after the loss of tyler smith. its basketball people... every team has off nights throughout the course of the season. west virginia lost by double digits to a uconn team that was playing for their tournament lives, similar to florida. does that mean that they suck or no one on their team cares.... of course not. its just part of college basketball. every team, with the exception of the top three or four teams, will have a few nights where things just don't go their way.

Scotty does take a lot of tough shots, but Scotty needs help. We need to get something going inside. He just can't take over a game. But without Tyler or Chism, he maybe the only thing we got. So he better get hot. Like NOW!

No free throws tonite is not Scotty's fault. He was fouled several times, but TV Teddy and crew didn't call them. :furious3:

He did play better than he has been tonight but you can't deny he turns it on and off in games. He didn't take over/step up tonight in the 2nd half when we needed him. He's just not ready to be the go to guy. He shouldn't be spending the entire game out on the perimeter, it's nice when he hits threes but he should be driving to the hole. He's made to do it, he has all the potential in the world but he's not using it.

I think one day it'll click for him. He could've absolutely lit it up tonight if he really wanted to though. Still a good performance. He's still only a sophomore.

this seems like it would be the last night that someone would bash scotty? i thought he stepped up, made some key shots. only thing i would want to see more of from him is wanting the ball when we NEED a bucket. i hate seeing him stand off to the side on big possessions when he should be the guy with the ball.

I saw it this way: he came out hot from behind the 3-point line. He finally missed one. The team went away from Hopson for a few possessions. Hopson then made some aggressive moves closer to the bucket and got some points. He hit some more 3s later on.

I thought the mistake tonight was not using a hot Scotty Hopson for all he was worth. He got his points for sure, but I think we left a lot on the table with Hopson tonight.

The biggest concern is the total domination by FLA on the inside. It was too easy for them.

Agreed. I've been really critical of Hopson, but this is definitely not the game to be attacking him. Imagine how bad it would've been without him tonight.

Scotty was easily our best player last night. We have some serious issues with stupid fans on this board. Here is a thought.... stop watching the games and go support another team. We can't win them all and i know its aggrevating when we lose, but pointing blame is going back to middle school......
