Hopson might be biggest WUSS in SEC

Ten bucks says this guy was a bball player in high school, thought he was the best. Then he never got a single offer and became angry at the basketball world for his failure, blaming anyone who did not meet his expectations while he sits on the couch.

The person to really blame in this game was Chism. He played his worst game in college to date. Dude gets four fouls with like 13 minutes to play was a no show on offense as well. The only chance we have to be competitive in the SEC is when Chism plays good but tonight was a terrible performance from him.

Good grief. This joint lives to rip our players by name. Rip the coach, who is a professional and highly paid. These life's picked the Vols and want to play here.

It's amazing the lack of tact this board has. Badmouth players all day long from the anonymity of mom's basement.

A useless post from a small group that loves to attack our players. Sad.

Have you ever stuck around to debate anything?

I've only seen you post once a thread is beginning to die down, and then like a comet, you leave.

I'll take 20 points and no free throws from Hopson any day of the week. He can't make the refs blow the whistle. Side note: I believe this might be the worst year ever for college basketball referees. Not just during UT games, but for all games the refs have been terrible

I thought Hopson played pretty well tonight in response to coming off the bench. The kid is just a sophomore and still has plenty of time to mature some more. I had high hopes for him too, but just because a kid is an HS all-American doesn't mean he will be an immediate impact at the next level, with some kids it just takes time for that light to go on. Still has a ways to go to gain some consistency, but I do believe that light will go on, it's just a matter of when to me.

Sorry to not answer posts.have sick wife and child...anyway, the post came from frustration overall I guess, IMO Hopson does the least with the most on the team. He has soooo much talent but generally speaking does not have the heart nor desire to be the man. He could be the man and the sophmore only crap is nuts. John wall... Cousins..so that doesn't fly but yes 20-7 is good record and we have overcome a lot but Maze tries to take over more that scotty and so I say he is a huge wuss! I will still root my butt off for he and the rest of the team every game..but he is.

You bash a player, yet the threads you start about the Coach, who is ultimately responsible for getting these players ready to play and motivating them throughout the game, have a much different tone.

Very nice job CBP ….

You are mistaken if you blame pearl

CBP 4th winningest avtive coach

Give credit where credit is due - Great gameplan by Bruce

Voldad. I'm waiting to see your point! Cbp is also to blame for not making this kid be the man he should be in the game. My opinion.

My point, and correct me if I am wrong, is that you seem infinitely more critical of an amateur athlete than the Coach who is paid handsomely to mentor, mold, and develop him.

If you take note of all my posts I generally do not "bash" players if possible but I truly believe that Scotty is playing weaker than ever now when he should be stepping up. You can motivate and coach em up but the want to has to be in the kid and I don't see it in scotty. When the going gets tough he stands around waiting for a pass to launch a 3. Yes he is a shooter but if he is not on he might as well be on bench and he is not working to get open like lofton used to for instance. If scotty wanted it like chris did he would get 20 shots minimum every night because at this point that is what it would take for him to post Loftonesqe numbers and reputation.
