How "fierce" can the competition in a league be when Bobby Maze had a 40+ point game? The RTL is a low rent version of the MTV Rock 'n Jock game.

Dan Cortese and Bill Bellamy could each go for 20+ per night in the RTL.

How is he much different than any of the second string spot up shooters like Korver or Redick? He isn't starter material but to say he's not NBA material at blows my mind. And the fact you think Hopson is!

One would think that, if he were "NBA material," as you suggest, he'd be in the NBA.

I don't know...maybe I'm just full of crazy talk today.

If Hopson makes the improvement I think he will make from his freshman to his sophomore year, he is definite NBA material. He has great length, great athleticism, and despite his high arch (which is not as bad as it was) he is a good shooter with the potential to be an excellent shooter. He has a tremendous first step and can get by most defenders with ease, something Lofton does not have. He still needs to improve his handle, although it has gotten better. He does need a lot more muscle, but by his junior year (yes, I think he'll be around for at least 3 years), that shouldn't be as much of a problem. The weights have already started showing up on him.

I believe we'll see Hopson become more aggressive this season and take over more. So far, fans have only gotten a glimpse of how talented he is.

Long story short, Hopson has great NBA potential, much more so than Lofton and Watson.

As I said I just don't see it. However, this is one of the cases where I would LOVE to be corrected. :)
