Eh...I'm not yet bored with conference championships and Sweet 16 appearances, even if they haven't turned out exactly the way I would have liked. I'd prefer to let Nolan be Nolan for a while and see if Bruce can't help his guys mature.

I don't remember Nolan having much trouble hanging banners and reaching Sweet 16s.

I agree that Nolan would be great. But I don't think we are anywhere near the point of having to make that kind of decision. Maybe the guy down the hall from me at work is right when he says that Tennessee will never be an elite team playing's BP's style of basketball. And I would certainly like to see better halfcourt play on both sides of the ball. But bruce has unquestionably had a positive impact on the program and I'm curious to see how far he can take us.

And just so yall don't get confused as to the type of person I am, I wanted Phillip Fulmer gone 4 years ago. Further, I will go on record -- knowing that I am about to be verbally berated for doing it -- with the bold statement that Phillip Fulmer was never any more than a mediocre coach.

I didn't say he did; the guy flat won, and that is great.

At this point, however, I'm still happy with Bruce.

It didn't help, but I can name plenty of coaches who ended up with jobs after far worse breakups.

The lawsuit was a disaster. That, with Nolan effectively quitting the recruiting trail, probably scares people.

I don't think a happy and rejuvinated Nolan Richardson would have any problems procuring players.

I don't disagree. I talked to him when he was inducted to the Tulsa HOF and he was itching to get back to it. Sounded almost like he wanted Wocjik's gig back.

I'm still stunned UTEP didn't hire him three years ago. Wocjik just can't seem to get over the hump.

On a side note, ESPN has to break up Jay Williams and Len Elmore in the studio. One is bad enough, but as a pair they are utterly unbearable.

Was not saying a bunch of Sweet 16's as a bad thing and what Coach Pearl has done for the University and Basketball Program is tremendous.

My expectations are not raised after 4 years, I wasn't saying that. I was just making a statement that I believe to be true about the stagnant offense that is out there right now. If you noticed, Kansas was running screens off the ball and back-cutting like crazy. Our offense, on the other hand, is 3 guys on the perimeter and pass around, look for the post, if it's not open, jack up a 3 or drive to the basket and throw up a wild shot.

I completely agree with the original post. However, I do not agree with the poster that said Woolridge is better than hopson. I would rather Brian Williams have the ball in his hands than Woolridge. That guy is the man that knows he will only have a couple mins. and will jack it up at a moment's notice. Hopson is scared to death. You can look at him and tell.

Bisilio mentioned today that he is hearing that Hopson is looking at Louisville.
That would be brilliant. A dog like him will last about 15 minutes into a Pitino practice before he transfers to Northern Kentucky or Transylvania.

Hopson 1 & done? Hardly. If he takes another 3 pointer he should be benched.

Do what? In season? That sounds stupid. Its not like Pitino is going to take the defensive sorriness worth a damn. He would be holding up the bench somewhere.
