It seems Vol Fans (pre-teen posters) are enjoying these kids getting some bad reviews from the NBA? WTF is wrong with you idiots,Scotty won alot of games for us and Tobias was probably the best freshman players we've ever had. They lost their coach, hammer CBP if you want to,but leave these players alone! You sound like scorned teenagers after your girlfriend ------ your buddy!!!

Dismount the steed.

He will be a very slow 3 in the NBA..good luck guarding Paul Pierce, Labron James, and Luol Deng......if Tobias doesn't grow to at least 6'9, he's going to be in the D-league......

when charles barkley came out he measured at 6,4.5 and was told he would not be able to rebound or guard karl malone and others, and he averaged 10 plus rebounds for eight or nine years in a row, played good defense against guys who had 4 to 6 inches on him,and scored a bunch,so if barkley can play the power foward surely tobias can play the three, and you say good luck guarding lebron, deng, and pierce .he dont need luck pierce isnt an athletic freak, would be a simple match up,and most everyone gets it handed to them guarding lebron cause he is big stonzg and athletic plus he gets all the calls, and deng he is just one of those type guys that when you get on court and he comes your way ,your frustrated cause he stays in your grill.but tobias will do very good in nba if he keeps working on his outside shot.he is a smooth player that will be ok.go tobias

I nominate this as the most off target post of the year. What does Scotty having "won alot of games for us" (which I completely disagree with) got to do with his NBA chances? I like Tobias but he wasn't even close to being the best freshman to ever play at Tennessee. Even if he was (and he wasn't) so what it doesn't change the "truth". I haven't seen one post that was saying anything about these guys that wasn't accurate.

Scotty made a stupid decision. we all told him so.

He didn't want to play for a coach who would kick his ass rather than kiss it. Not much we can do about that.

Reality will soon roundhouse kick him in the face though.

I like Tobias but he will never be on the same level as the round mound of rebound, the chuckster

Disagree. He wasn't going to improve much.. If at all. Especially not enough to make up the ground for an even deeper draft.

People are just bitter we will probably suck now since we lost them both.

The NBA is adopting a rule change requiring rookies to play shoeless.

The old guys are tired of the rookies getting the Shoe contracts.

On the other hand, those Sock Contracts can be very lucrative.

Personally I'm not bitter because I'm glad he declared for the NBA. I think it was the right choice because just like you stated "he wasn't going to improve much". As a Tennessee fan it was extremely frustrating to watch Hopson mop around the court when things weren't going good and completely disappear late in games when a "star" would have wanted the ball. Regardless of where he is drafted or if he is drafted I will be shocked if he ever starts an NBA game or is in the league more then three years. He may have the talent to be an average NBA player but he isn't tough enough to play in the league.
