Hot and Not in the SEC: Week 13

No one can logically blame CBJ for the terrible team he inherited and the injuries which took away the best three quarterbacks on the team, and other key players. The class of 2014 looks very good and the freshmen who were red-shirted will form a very good base of players to begin building a respectable football program. The number of EE will also allow those players to gain more knowledge of what it takes to win at the SEC level. I am anxious to see the progress in the next two years.

All my post meant was the losses rest on his shoulders. You CAN blame him, whether he's truly at fault or not. It's like being the president. Some people complain it's so-no-so's fault and he inherited a mess, but at the end of the day it's still part of his record.

Absolutely! The man is being paid 3 million dollars a year, and is supposed to be the caretaker of Tennessee football!! Wins and losses fall on his shoulders.

6-6 would have been a good first year, anything less and he underachieved. All he had to do was find a way to win 3 games!!! He had 3 wins (cupcake teams) built-in for him.

I said before the season... Just beat Vandy, Kentucky and 1 other game, and get us to a damn bowl game!

Earn that big salary CBJ!
You do realize we had both Georgia and Vandy beat, don't you? But, like usual, a way was found by the replay booth to cause us to lose instead of win.

Georgia maybe.

Vandy should never have had a score anywhere near close enough to have one replay decide the game.

Ignore him. He is not and never has been a Tennessee fan. If every was, he has fallen into a deep hole of crap.

That's why he is on my ignore list. He is a pathetic Jones hater that believes if a coach doesn't do what Malzhan has done in his first year then they are a failure.

A classic example of the childish and stupid posts that are popping up more and more frequently on the board. Another poster has a different opinion than you so you claim he's not a fan and is to be ignored. The old you don't agree with me so you aren't a fan concept, truly the tactic of the ignorant.

And nobody here really gives a damn who you have on ignore.

I don't know that Vandy is better than UT. They're certainly better than the Vandy teams of old... and that's because of James Franklin. (I don't like him but its the truth)

Tennessee has been outcoached by Vandy the past three years. We caught a lucky break with the Eric Gordon interception in over time to pull a win out.

Vandy is better right now. This is a what have u done for me lately society.

What potential on the roster?

Seriously. Tell me where it is. I'm really curious.

Because last I checked, the team seriously overachieved by taking UGA to OT and beating USCe. Do you think it's reasonable to expect this sorely talent-deficient team to keep up with top 10 programs week in and week out?

The Vandy loss is the only one that you can pin on him, and even that's questionable. If Pig doesn't block that guy, we win. Period.

Your blind hatred of Jones is nauseating.

Sir, his in game decisions this year were terrible. Maybe he will learn from it. If he don't his talent will have to be head and shoulders above the competition to compete for championships.

Think about this: 6 of our past 9 seasons have been losing seasons.

05, 08, 10, 11, 12, 13.

We've been bad for almost a decade.

Here's another scary thought:

The SEC "cellar dwellers" number of winning seasons since 2005:

1. Mississippi State: 4 (possibly 5 if they pull it out tonight)
2. Vanderbilt: 4
3. Kentucky: 4
4. Ole Miss: 4

And we have 3.

We are officially the worst SEC team since 2005. Ho. lee. ****.
