then why do so many people on here want him gone from notre dame? people salivate everytime a Weis/NFL rumor is mentioned. Why do you people care what happens to ND's head coach... or more importantly... why does everyone hope he leaves ND?

I don't... I don't know anybody that does. He's accomplished zero since he's arrived at ND. We all know that will likely not stand once he gets better recruits...

The only thing people hate about ND is that their name recognition is so strong, it takes away bowl bids from more deserving teams. This is practicaly an inconvravertible fact now, since they haven't won a bowl game in two millenia. People just want Notre Dame to get what they truly deserve based on their performance and coaching, and for NBC to stop smoking their pole.

Personally, I just don't care. In my mind, Charlie Weis is pulling a great scam right now. He's got people convinced that he's different from Bob Davie and Ty Willingham even though he has yet to prove it.

actually, we just wish bad things would happen to ND's football program (not Marshall bad, though).

and I agree, Weis is the best thing for ND right now. He's coaching them into mediocrity, just like CPF is doing here.

although Weis going to the NFL would be sweet, because it opens the door for Lou "Snagglepuss" Holtz to make his triumphant, be-spittled return.

I'm just tired of hearing about him. He's hasn't done anything worth mentioning in college football yet.

He recruited 19 year old with a nickname.....that has to count for something. Say it with me. The CHOSEN one, THE chosen one, the chosen ONE. The level of attention they get is ridiculous.

There was Lucious Pusey. I'm sorry, but that name beats the crap out of Jim Bob Cooter. Although JBC retook the throne, I think that guy changed his name.

agree 100%. keeps cashing in those checks and brining BCS money to ND, with no real merit to support any of it.

what EXACTLY has he done to warrant all the praise they get?????:dunno:
