West Knoxville is probably the best place to look. Most of the hotels are in clusters and relatively safe areas.I am looking for a hotel for the Bama game. Don't laugh, I know the ones close to the stadium are booked. We just need one close enough for a taxi ride and in a good neighborhood for two girls to stay at alone. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Go Vols!!!
Actually, if we could show one of the hotels that we have a certain number of posters in need of hotel rooms every week, we could probably get some ambitious manager to put together a VN package deal.Man, we need a VolNation hotel just to accomodate VN posters. Dub, that sounds like a good project for you.
You should also consider Alcoa. It is a straight shot to the game on Alcoa Highway(15 minutes, exit Neyland Drive). Most of the motels have shuttles going back and forth to the games.Jameson Inn isn't too bad at all.Better hurry on any room reservation though!Doesn't have to be in the Shadow of Neyland, but maybe within a 30 minute drive or so. Any suggestions????? Thanks!!!
On this note I would like to point out that they have shut down a lane going each direction on Neyland under the Alcoa Bridge for now... they're doing some sort of work on the bridge. I anticipate they expect to be done in the next week and a half, but this is a warning... if they still have those barriers out it will be HELL to drive through there on a gameday. It is bad enough now in the morning. :wacko:You should also consider Alcoa. It is a straight shot to the game on Alcoa Highway(15 minutes, exit Neyland Drive). Most of the motels have shuttles going back and forth to the games.Jameson Inn isn't too bad at all.Better hurry on any room reservation though!

RATZ!Knoxville has more construction work going on than any city in Tennessee maybe the southeast!:realmad:On this note I would like to point out that they have shut down a lane going each direction on Neyland under the Alcoa Bridge for now... they're doing some sort of work on the bridge. I stayed in one in Louisville for the Derby a couple of years ago. Not bad at all. It's not the Four Seasons, but it's also not a Super 8.I'm not knocking anything. I'm on the road so much that I think I've got enough Priority Club points for a 10 day trip to Mars. I probably haven't paid for a hotel room in about 3-4 years.
In fact . . . I'm in a Holiday Inn Express right now.eace2:
