That you would compare racism versus blacks to racism versus Asians proves only that you are dumber than a box of rocks.

just ask the pre-WWII Chinese and the atrocities they suffered at the hands of Imperial Japan

really, LG, it is pretty pathetic that you see racism behind every idea that seeks to decrease the power and scope of the federal government.

Do you think a chinese immigrant that is beaten to death for being chinese is better off than a black man who is beaten to death for being black?

Hm.. I wonder why he neglected to mention the treatment of the Chinese laborers that built the "intercontinental" railroad? Or the forced internment of the Japanese during WWII?

I still say it takes two to play chicken. Either side can choose to step aside and let the other play through. The reporting is one sided.

Are you talking about the dems vs reps or me vs lg because I'm really confused about what this thread is about anymore?

If it's dems vs rep you're talking about I'm sick of the game of chicken. They need to both go. Neither has the guts to actually do what's best for this country and the ones that do are being branded as lunatics.

I was talking about the Democans and the Republicrats. The problem with government is that it is made up of people. And people almost always put their own interests first. And the people who want power, and are willing to put up with the elections and campaigning and such, are generally not fit to hold office. This is a democratic republic we live in. Our elected officials reflect us. Sad isn't it.

Firs thing that needs to be done is term limits. Two terms max. Get in and get out.

Ya know, we could vote them out at any election. We keep rehiring them. I think the electorate is unable/unwilling to vote for anyone who will change the status quo. Even with term limits, they will just elect the last guy's clone up until we can change people's views and expectations.

Could be and have to aren't the same thing though.

Making the voters actually have to revote on someone new makes people have to get more imvolved and it also lessens the power of the politicians ... I think.

I also agree witjh your last part but good luck with that.
