House votes to decriminalize marijuana at federal level

“Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?
Warning: The use or possession of marijuana remains unlawful under Federal law regardless of whether it has been legalized or decriminalized for medicinal or recreational purposes in the state where you reside”

Do you have any interactions with high school kids? I'm starting to think the real gateway drug is tobacco. High school kids hit those vapes like candy, probably because they made it taste like candy. Personally I'm not really a fan of a nicotine buzz.

We all get "buzzed" My 82 YO Mom gets all nutty if she cannot have her 3 cups of Green Mountain coffee in the morning...LOL

I haven't smoke or ingested any cannabis in over two years but I've known bad drunks and stoners, and I'd rather be around a stoner with a gun than a bad drunk with one. Some of these boomers still think reefer madness was a documentary.

Because the majority of potheads JUST smoke pot. 😂🤣

Delta-8 is already legal in Tennessee. Anyone buying weed off the street is just a fool.

I heard there could be contaminants in the vape liquid they produce due to lack of regulation. If I had a choice I'd probably rather just have real weed, though to be fair it mostly seems safe if you just get the edibles.

Not addicted. Smoking .3 grams of weed a day doesn't make me an addict. There's people out there that smoke 7 grams a day or more.

I'm not an addict. I can quit tomorrow and be fine. Thats the difference in weed and alcohol and other hard drugs.

My god. There are alcoholics and plenty of people that can have a drink here and there and not go into withdrawal or have the need to continually have their state of mind altered.

Druggies and drunks and other addicts are usually the same type of personality, thus the same stupidity and usual intoxicated behaviors

I bet you could not quit so easily.
It'll probably suck for a week or so, but its not like I'll have physical symptoms like vomiting or shaking. I have quit before with the use of CBD flower. Only reason I started again is it became more accessible to me through a coworker.

Keep telling yourself that. Your behavior is that of an addict even if you aren't physically addicted to the substance.

If it would "suck for a week or so" that is a different deal altogether.

I, like you, have not in had any form of weed in years. If I were so inclined I’d go edibles. I’ve been sober for 15 years. (Everyone knows what that means) but I could start and stop weed at any time.

Thats like calling someone who drinks 2 beers every night an addict.

Yep.. I had no problem doing it. The person I was getting it from just stopped selling and I didn't care about it enough to go and get a medical card so I literally quit cold turkey just like that.

Compare that to getting a week's worth of opioids for back pain and the feeling of the void you get when you run out of those. It's insane.

At some point.... they are because they can't stop. Coffee is an addiction for many. "2" beers every night is as well.

So then elaborate on what you meant by it would "suck for a week or so".

If you drink everyday you are an alcoholic
That’s not true.
There are plenty of people who have 1-2 drinks a day and can stop any time.
I am an actual alcoholic so I know what I’m talking about here.
Just because I was addicted too it doesn’t mean everyone else is. I’m not sure why we don’t apply these standards to coffee and cigarettes.

Only time I saw laced was some cheap ass **** from the hood.
Yeah, most of the plugs I know wouldn’t do that, knowingly just because it’s against their own self-interest.

I also question whether it would even be possible to say that a traffic fatality that occurred last week was caused by marijuana.

There were a couple of things about the original post that seemed suspect.

Alcohol is a real problem for me. I didn’t drink every day either but could not go 3 days without it. Weed, could take it or leave it
