That is why the decision is so difficult. Once Ainge is pulled, Crompton could follow up with 3 passes, 3 INTs and you have to stick with him.I agree with that. Ainge has proven he is a head case, if you're going to make the switch, better be prepared to stick with it. He cannot handle rejection, one switch and he is done for.

Was Cut talking about putting in the second team for this game or just in general some time this season. I can agree with that if we are winning big or losing bad but not just for getting experience in a competitive game. I don't see Crompton being the starter. We have no evidence that Ainge is going to be aweful this year. It is all speculation. We have no evidence that Crompton is going to be the man. How many downs in a official game has he played in NCAA?-NONE. If Ainge is not moving the offense and it is clearly due to his lack of ability to play QB then you go to #2. That is about it. Ainge is the starter. We might want to get used to this idea and wait and see what he can do this year with a proven QB coach. After we see that, we can make a better decision on what to do. Until then, I see no QB contreversy here.:twocents:Cutcliffe said last night when asked if they were planning on playing Crompton that they were infact going to play him. He said that he didn't have a set plan of when they were going to do it, and that they may throw the whole second team in "just to see how bad they want to play".
I don't think when he comes in, that Ainge will be done, unless they let Ainge do something bad like multiple INT's, fumbles, etc, however I think that certainly by the Memphis game that Crompton will be the starter, if not sooner.
