Just disappointing reading through the Stanford pre-game comments above from "fans" even after the team played pretty well at TX. Great win today!

The team still can't shoot worth a lick and that is a major problem. It just didn't hurt them in this game because Stanford didn't shoot worth a lick either.

BTW...it was nice to see Erica McCall get stuffed a couple of times.

The difference yesterday (and against Texas) was that when we saw we weren't shooting well, we started driving and pounding it inside rather than to stubbornly keep shooting.

It's at times like this that we see the true color of fans. Disappointing? Yes. Surprising? No. Some of these people are trolls while others are just negative fans. It was a great win over a legit top ten team.

I would like to think were headed in the right direction for the remainder of this season if the players would continue to play the same defense and not relax and Holly would demand intelligent shot selection on every possession. We may not be capable of shooting better than 40 percent against top competition but if they shoot 36 percent and you win the rebounding and turnover battle you are going to win.
The inconsistency of this team will probably continue they will want to take a few plays off against Troy and will want to jack up a few stupid threes or shots with three players guarding them. Basketball is about finding the open player and then getting a shot as close to the basket as possible. We did that a lot more against Stanford but still couldn't resist a little one on one against three defenders and seems Russell has never heard of a pass out of a triple team.
