Their colors could be black and Smokey grey and the logo could be a Power U (PU for short). Sandvol had some ideas for their name in an earlier post. Need to leave the 'U of TN' part out though, gule, too divisive, not all the players are from TN.

Like any those ideas, gule?

Edit reason... auto correct... sorry gule:eek:hmy:.

Good ideas. And since not all the donors live in Tennessee and I'm guessing federal money (grants) are accepted it's not really totally a Tennessee university. The name should be "University of all 50 States" or "University of America". And the colors should be all the colors of the rainbow to reflect all the colors of the other states.

Oh my gosh! You are so right; I did not mean to be so outdated and insensitive:whatever: I will send my apologies to all 50 states, all universities, every member of every sports team of those universities, and trying to think to whom else I should apologize. We don't want our great University of All 50 States to look outdated or lacking in sensitivity. Thanks, Jeff:hi:

And to be totally all-in with the "One Tennessee" mindset, I propose that all the athletes immediately do away with their names (that's sooo separate and individual and not desireable) and we call the athletes "Carbon Unit 1" and "Carbon Unit 2" and "Carbon Unit 3" and so on.

How about we call them the same as the other 7 teams that made match play. None of those teams had separate logos.

Nice playing by the team this week.

Yes, that's why we have to do it. Because everybody else is and Brennan says so. Why don't we let the women decide if we supposedly want to empower women? By the way they are wearing the Lady Vols logo. But for me they'll always be Lady Vols unless they tell me they don't want to be referred to that.

Both of the Newell sisters have posted to the BringBackTheLadyVols.com website in support of keeping the Lady Vols name & logo for all women's teams. Pretty brave of them since they're both still on campus.

I started a thread re that and referred to their courage. Somebody got all excited that I would refer to it that way. Uh huh...reality check. You are right; they are brave. Also another LV was quoted in the paper opposing the change and stating they had no idea what hart was referring to when he had the "informational" meeting with them. So far I have read and heard numerous past and present Lady Vols oppose this. Some were neutral: not enough info, did not know desire of current athletes, etc. I have not read or heard of one who strongly supports it. But it doesn't matter; they are just chattel with no feelings or importance I guess. Again and again and again...let the Lady Vols decide. Fair and just.

But, but, but Dave surveyed all the women and they overwhelmingly were in support of dropping the logo.
