Really? So he was a terrible coach when he beat a much better South Carolina team while he was here? And he was a terrible coach when he was a FG away from beating the #1 in the country here? If you want to talk about coaching, talk about when he was HERE. Not about 3 yrs later at a different school in a different conference in a different decade.

duuuuuude give it up. Kiffin is loaded with talent this year & can't do squat. You are witnessing right now what Kiffin can fully do & that is not even top tier in his own conference. USC started out top five, how did that end up

P.S. you forgot how he botched the UCLA game against a piss poor team

SIAP, but I can't believe Hammy has the cajones to live in Knoxville. He completely screwed the athletic department. We can thank him for Kiffin, Dooley, Pearl and Raleigh - all of whom turned out to be bad hires and most of whom we're still paying today.

Kiffin was a good hire that unfortunately left for his dream job.
Pearl was what the basketball program needed. His firing was absolutely justified, but I don't think most would call that a bad hire.
Dooley and Raleigh were godawful hires.

Kiffin and Pearl are the exact same person, in my opinion. They're high-energy guys who aren't perfect at every aspect of the job, but can get by at a place that's dedicated to doing what's necessary to succeed. If Kiffin was still here, we'd be near the top of the SEC. We may also have some issues with compliance. The fact of the matter, though, is that (1) people would be worried to play us, and (2) kids from across the country would continue to legitimately look at us as a possible home.
