HOW CAN THE LADY VOLS WIN THE SEC TOURNEY

I like that coach Jumper is posting. What he has posted is more interesting than anything you had to offer the board.

There are those like me who try to make a difference by looking at every angle for a college program they have backed for over 30 years... and then there are those who have no answers, no ability to dissect situations and no coaching background, frustrated immature souls who just want to ***** and bully those of us who take a stab at saying or doing the right thing.

I put only four threads on the board """four""" and have over 16,000 views and over 100 replies (minus about 10% from stalkers like Bearcat).... I yelled for better performance and handling of the named players I consider Alpha's and Graves,DD and Coop , and they have one of their most dominating games in forever.

What did you do: DonDiego? Bearcat? LordBolton?.. Turn on your computer and ***** about those of us who are true Lady Vol fans, trying desperately to help out the team? Thanks for nothing!

If that's the descriptor of someone with 70 posts, what is the descriptor for someone with 46K and change? :devilsmoke:

if all Bearcat has to do is stalk me, maybe he should get a life... better yet, go back your namesake, the cincy team... Or are you just a "Jumper"?:lolabove:

98% of the people on here have coached youth sports. They just don't feel the need to make their opinion seem more important than it really is.:hi:

I wish i could respond to individuals privately, but this is the way the forum is setup...

of the 98% (and please show your research)

- How many coached them purely as a Daddy-coach?
- Only coached to build teams around one player so they could propel their one player?
- Coached rec/upwards/and non-upper-level competitive AAU???

Probably most of the 98%

My daughter didn't get to play for me at all. She knew the level of athlete i worked with and respected that.

Dude, I am here for one reason, to try to affect the lady vols spiral. I CARE.... DO YOU?... Or do you just want to bother the ones who do really care?

Coach Jumper I appreciate your posts at least they are not filled with NEGITIVITY. Keep posting a few posters on here put me in a deep dark depression. :hi::hi::hi:

I am a bit of a spot-light HOUND. I will readily admit that. But it comes from years of knowing that i have to be that way for the sake of my players... Female teams on all levels, AAU, college or pro,,,all have one thing in common...Once the negative spotlight goes from coach to player, downward spirals begin for the players... HW should immediately have taken the negative public outcries about the dismal performances re her players (DD,Cooper, Graves, Russell, etc) and shouldered them... She did so for a spell, then she begin to sway and lay blame on them too.... Geno loves the spotlight. He downplays it when it is on him, but as long as it is on him, it isn't on his girls. And he never throws a player under the bus unless she is sticking her own foot under the tire. then he will drive the bus.

Unlike the Men's game where youhave to give the spotlight and credit to your lads, when you coach girls, as a male or female coach, you HAVE to be the focus of outside entities. You have to be the team's biggest focus to win consistently.

I once had a Mom come up to me after I had to use her "post" daughter to play an over-sized guard... And tell me You this and I that.... I simply told her, in full view of the audience that she was trying to impress with this banter... "I don't coach you"... But i do coach your daughter..... And I will do what needs to be done to win... If this is something that you can't accept, "Jump".

For the LV's..The Sum of the Parts, at some point HAS to become a whole.

We are all big boy's here, you can share your pearls of wisdom with the whole class.

Really? who says this about their own kid?

Perhaps if you would of "Daddy coached" her instead of saving you greatness for other children she would have been an elite athlete.

I care but I don't lose sleep over it. Is that ok "COACH" ?

Sandman,

It wasn't her passion and i am not going to force my passion on my daughter. She is now 21 years old, we have a perfect Dad-Daughter relationship and in those 21 years, my daughter and i have never raised our voices to each other ad we still communicate 2-3 times weekly. I just got back from visiting with her in Augusta...I think i did that very well thank you.

My daughter saw my teas and understood the commitment level needed to play with them. At barely 5'4' and not in love with the game i coach, she chose tennis and ultimate-Frisbee. As her Father, I am ok with that.

I would have coached her if she had shown an interest, but i was not going to live my dream through her forcibly, like many parents do.

She saw teams such as the one in the video at 12 and other teams like a 14u where i had four players over 6 foot tall. . . She understood . . . Hopefully maybe now you will.

Well the WSEC is starting good for the LV. One team that beat us is already eliminated. Lol.

Good luck in all that you do Mr. Jumper. I got nothing else for you.

sorry if i seemed defensive. I have had quite a few postings that were very rough on me. . . But when you put yourself out there, you risk that type of responses...

Maybe we can get on a better page moving forward. I value any and all legitimate feedback.

Best of luck,
jumper

I don't think anyone has a problem with you putting yourself out there, just might be the way you are so narcissistic about it. You seem to be someone so full of themselves that you can't simply put your ideas out there without sounding like a tool. JMO

Coach Jumper, how should next season be handled, just out of curiosity? Should Holly get a new staff if she stays? Any coaches out there who could help the program?

Wow.

Dude, you have a ZERO% chance of "affecting" the lady vols spiral. Zero, zip, zilch, nada. Coaches and players are NOT tuning in everyday to soak up your wisdom. The players are NOT "your girls". You are NOT the mentor for the coaches. Delusional maybe? And then you pull this totally manipulative, whiny BS that it's because you care, and others clearly do not. You might know something about basketball, but you have completely discredited yourself with the constant self promotion and self aggrandizement - and I say you're full of cr@p.

I can't quite tell if the seemingly sycophantic few that eat up your posts are just humoring you or perhaps are just that freaking desperate for some hope given the train wreck that now is the LVs.

But do yourself a favor and delete your account and start over. Its been my observation that people on VN enjoy and appreciate insight and humor, much more so than self-proclaimed know-it-all-ism.
